I guess if you're not a developer, maybe you don't understand how much work is involved?
I don't get how people expect devs who work part time to just bang out oodles of content like it's nothing.

I am not happy about the delays but saying that he's one of the worst devs is dishonest.
Go check Aorrta the liar, gumdrop and all the milking scammers.
Maybe honeygames' communication is not the best but I still find that he communicates more than most of the other devs as he spends a good amount of time in this thread.
He seems to have family problems which impacted his work and communication but he's still one of the best devs here and he's passionate about his game.
Let's hope that the game will be released soon and the next updates will come more regularly.
I think you misunderstood me for the most part..
First off, I'm couldn't care less about "delay", development takes thevtime it takes, no more no less. Nothing to stress about.
But concerning communication, he unfortunatly is one of the worst. It's not a jibe but meant as fair criticism. I love the game, I dd support HG at the highest level for a loooong time and I wish him all the best.
But this is far from the first time that his communication is severly lacking.
As for the other clowns you namedtopped I wouldn't consider any of them as devs so thay wouldn't make the list

MAYBE I AM ONE OF THE WORST developpers. but I prefer to spend my time developing the game. every time I read this forum or write posts on patreon it's time I waste not working on the game, I don't know if you understand what I mean.
Coding a game like NCC requires a huge amount of concentration. there are many paths and many characters, just the fact that i'm here reading what you write and finding the time to answer... means that i'm not working on the game. To get myself working on the game I have to take my notes, see what event is planned, find all the variables that lead to that event and think to all the dialogues (different for each variable/paths).
it's a game created by one person, with the help of a few volunteers, you can't expect me to do, rendering, coding, public relations, marketing and distribution.
I do the best I can. If I earned 20k$ a month maybe I'd hire a team of specialists, but right now this is a game made for passion and fun.
I do this for fun and for fun for you. So enjoy this game for what it is: a fun.
I would also like to be able to develop everything much faster, I have hundreds of ideas that walk in my brain and I would like to realize, unfortunately I can only realize a game, slowly, at a time.
Now I'll try to finish this game in the best possible way, then I'll work on the next one, trying to program a game that is easier to manage by one person.
No one is attacking you or expecting you to do something out of the ordinary here.
I told you again and again that NCC is my favorite game, and I play ALOT of games ^^ the game is second to none, the time it takes is of no concern to me, take your time and do it right.
It's indeed very complex, that's also thecreason why it's so very good.
But the most basic level of communication or public relations as you refer to it can't be ignored as a skillset of a developer, freelancer. It's every bit as vital as your actual dev skills, even more so one could argue..
And no, I won't acknowledge that it would be an insurpassable time sink to make a one or two sentance post to your supporters ingorming them beforehand that you would be othervise occupied the coming weeks.
That's all you had to do, inform the people that support you.
Giving reasons after the fact will always come off as disingenuous and grow distrust instead of cultivating it be being informative.

Hey, just downloaded this game and am watching this 'intro' that shows the events played out from apparently the prior game (Follower), did I need to play that first / carry a save file over to this one? Or is this just the 'default' background story for this game?
No need to play Follower, you get everything you need to know from the intro

It's going well!
My situation is not ideal for rolling it out quickly, but I'm working with the ported file from NightTrain and that is helping me a LOT. What is not so nice is that the original does not have a save function, so testing and comparing versions is difficult.But all in all It's doing well.

I have not played all his old games but the following are definitely complete. But I have played the following:-
1) The King of the beach
2) The King is Back
3) The Follower
I was not aware about games being abandoned, but I know for Sexduction (That I'm busy porting to Renpy), he considered additional content, but decided to leave it at 4. As far as I know, most of the other games are tagged as completed on here.
The three I played, were definitely completed.
Well this people rage cause you dont give them free fap material and their nuts explode with pure manly testosteron from 14th frebruary (end of joke ). Dont worry dev , take your time , normal people knows you work hard and want to deliver a good experience so dont bother with the complaints from freeloaders .
Folower is taggad as completed yes. But he gave up on it since it got to complicated, rightgully so, hence the abandoned/finished I was talking about. There was more planned and a few of the routes just got cut short, I thought you were aware of this since HGs been pretty upfront about it earlier. You can't seriously tell me you played Follower and indeed felt it was completed?
I want to say the same is true for the other two you listed but I might very well be mistaken, can''t remember..
"Snake" likely suffered the same faith..
I don't blame him for not finishing those projects, not in the slightest.. those were his "trainig days" so to speak, very subpar in vomparison to NCC..
Have you tried playing any of the *.mp3 files from the "game" folder in a song recognition app or on a site? HG would know obviously.

Sorry, I probably switched the music setting to OFF when I started the game almost a year ago. My mistake. Sorry that it took me so long to answer. I found a save with Luana and "felt like it" ...
