Sounds like you have played some of the others, so I don't doubt your statement.
What is wild though is that this is currently his 2nd highest rated game out of the TWENTY (20!) games credited to him on this website. So far it has 3.3 stars out of 5, which isn't great but it's far above his average considering the majority of his games (11 total) have less than 2 stars. Granted "New in City" only has 3 reviews to determine that 3.3 rating but still worth noting.
The only other game with over 3 stars is "Aunt Don't Be Sad" coming in at 3.4 stars average from 10 different reviews. And that game looks like hot garbage, therefore I can't say reviews are always a fair representation of quality. Not that I ever would, of course, but this serves as yet another reminder.
So yeah.... while this game seems charming in some aspects, I will temper my expectations from future updates.
