Just started, how do I progress after taking a bath? The game tells me to find the girl but she doesn't seem to be in any of the areas I can go to.

Try going to the town first I believe it's all the way to the left

Hover your mouse over the given area, it will be highlighted and you can click on it. This is how the movement in the game is organized, arrows and such paths, doors.
