I'm definitely interested in seeing what you come up with, especially if you're better at accommodating fetish or rough content- though even if you aren't, it's always nice to see what kind of other things are out there in this game genre.

When 1 person makes a game where it can't be modded or it's hard to make content for it, that person is not only greedy, but is also slowing down the growth of the game.

The scene in which your boyfriend demands that you become his bitch when you're caught cheating. lol This scene fired with a custom NPC. I will post his traits, in case anyone else also likes this kinda stuff. lol

I tried the same traits on different custom NPCs, with slight variation, and failed to get the scene to happen. However, with this specific NPC, it ALWAYS works. I'm guessing the main traits for that scene must be JERK personality, VIGOROUS_LOVER trait, absence of WANTS_KIDS trait(else he'd demand to get you preggo), and the partner effect(and maybe friend effect) COLD_PARTNER/MISANTHROPIC_FRIEND may be important, too, but I haven't fully tested other combination of traits etc to be 100% certain. I wanted a different custom NPC to start this scene, but I can't get him to do it and I don't want to change him much. lol I will, though, keep editing him slightly every playthrough till I find out for sure which are the right traits for that scene.

I've seen that it's possible to divorce if the husband catches you cheating and/or lying twice, but is it possible to get divorced when he's into polyamory? Since there's no cheating in that scenario, as far as the game is concerned anyway.

Anyways, PD_ seems to actually copy/clone the game... which is something I would advise against.
For one Newlife is SOs intellectual property, even if it's just a small porn game somewhere on the internet, and seeing the project killed via DMCA or something along those line is the last thing I want.
Secondly while I appreciate all the character customization options, both for the PC as well as the NPCs, they make writing for it so much more complex. Maybe a base version with few options that could be expanded via mods would be a good idea.
Just a little advise though, so do it the way you see fit. It's always great to see more games like that

SO uses fear of prosecution under the UK's Obscene Publications Act of 1959 (something that has only ever been used a handful of times, and only successfully for blatant pedophilia), as justification never including non-consent himself and for the absolute PITA it takes for fan mad content to get added to the game at all, not to mention all the hoops you have to jump through for the fan made non-consent stuff.
Like, jesus, fucking Degrees of Lewdity is primarily developed by a Brit, atleast going by some of the vernacular in the game. SO is either stupid/lazy/some combination of the two, either legitimately fearing prosecution like a dumbass or just using to as an excuse to make even less content.

Then is SO really gonna spring out of the woodwork to fight anyone that takes the model and modify it to be more functional and to actually put in the work to bring new content to the game?
If SO was going to do anything DMCA-wise, they would have come after this thread for pirating the game in the first place. If *everything* isn't exactly the same, all character options, game options, cheats, every single function in the API, every enum in the documentation, then this new version will not be able to use any of the additional scenes (custom or official) that are available now or in the future. So you either recreate the game exactly using the same Java libraries and exposing the same API with the same object system (or some translation layer that emulates the Newlife object system and API), or you may as well make a new game entirely the way you want it, and scrap making a Newlife clone. There's no point in making a partial clone.

Way I see it, this sort of copying wouldn't put anyone in trouble. This project bears a lot of similarities to NL, but so does Quake to Unreal, both sharing the same UI items and the general premise of the game. C'mon, even in porn games I remember an instance where a developer was lazy af, and someone else made a game based on their idea before them (all I remember is that the other game was called Ganguro), and the best the original author could do was whine about it in the final update. Added a new scene that allows the PC to plot revenge on her office rival.
Added a new scene where a seductive office rival attempts to further her career in a way the PC may be able to exploit.
Added a short new scene where the office rival can disrupt office-politics.
Minor changes:
The spitroast scene will no longer do NPC actions on turns where one of the men is having an orgasm.
Improved spacing for spitroast orgasm actions.
Lowlives can now start a threesome during the innocent-befriending route.
Updated the “Freeze in panic” path with the lowlives to potentially lead to sex depending on the PC's traits.
Following a suggestion by Brobort, the threesome-request action is now moved to the “important talk” section if the PC hasn't previously had a threesome with that particular man.
The text when transitioning to a threesome at home now varies on style, with humiliating, using and rough getting alternative descriptions.
Added some pregnancy musings in some situations when the husband caresses the PC's breasts during a wedding-consummation. This was based on a suggestion from Saur.
Following a PM on patreon, relaxed the conditions to accidentally walk into the men's changing room at the gym. The request was to add a new trait to enable it for female-start characters, but instead I've decided to unlock it for any forgetful character who is not also perceptive. Non-forgetful gender-bent characters can still access the scene at low femininity, although perceptive will still prevent them from making the mistake.
Reworked how the party-girl-impregnation-dare contest worked as the logic had some major issues. The player will now usually win if she challenges the party-girl to one of the more daring dares as soon as possible. Cunning removes the small chance of failure in this situation. However, a player who dawdles by challenging multiple less-intense dares will lose the contest regardless of traits.
Made some small rewrites of the party-girl befriending intro so that she isn't described as hungover when pregnant. Thanks to JJRider for reporting this.

Updated the Velocity config to allow macros to replace currently-defined ones.

Fixed a bug reported by Vandana.Ghost where your boyfriend could consider it cheating for you to have sex with another man during a threesome that he took part in.

Okay, yeah, I was probably overly paranoid regarding the copyright issues. Still not sure if it is a good idea to copy the game, but yes, there shouldn't be any real issues regarding copyright.

I don't understand almost making a Newlife clone. I understand making an actual clone that's a drop-in replacement. I understand making a whole new game that's inspired by elements of Newlife. But I don't understand recreating the interface (surely one of the weakest elements of the game at this point, and I think SO would agree) and some of the internals when you could build something that's actually new.
