I'm building up my Ngon collection, but I’ve noticed some of the recent videos have weird artifacts, and it looks like the artist isn’t fixing them. Doesn’t he see there’s something wrong? Seems like an encoding issue.

I don't see any artifacts when I watch.

Yeah when watching the Mega video you sent it doesn't look like the screenshot at all lol. Maybe it's your display having an issue?

Weird, I tried it on 2 different PC-s and it's fine on one, artifacts on the other. Probably some sort of decoder issue.

I even tried re-encoding the video myself, but the artifacts are still there. I think the original video has an issue — it's not compatible with all decoders.
There are also three other videos with the same problem, like both versions of "Dynamic hip-swinging dance_Yuuka_naked_4K".
Only the 4K versions have artifacts; the 2K versions are clean.

He's had problems with encoding before, he's re-uploaded older videos sometimes due to similar issues. It's possible that these newer videos have the same issues that Ngon hasn't gotten around to fixing yet...

The reason for that is that the OP seems to be a rip from the author's Patreon, which he only started in 2024.

For older stuff, you can get it from his Fantia (censored) or Iwara (uncensored) pages, both linked in the OP!

Plus it's hard to find any uncensored Hololive content because Ngon was forced to remove their Vtuber content (including the uncensored ones from Iwara) a while ago.

Yeah I never saw that either too. Check your video player's hardware acceleration, turning it off or on could fix the artifacting (Make sure to restart your video player afterwards!).

If you really want to solve the problem, please tell us at least what graphics card and video player you are using.

I had some artifacting on different videos and I started using K-lite and that fixed it for me. Maybe try that.
