Thank you btw, I already knew it was an encoding issue but I was actually waiting for someone to confirm it. I turned off the VLC Hardware-accelerated decoding. The green artifacting is gone but the artifacting is still a problem, from the author's encoding.

Just curious. Has Ngon ever finished the extended edition of the Sad Cat Dance? I recall him posting a clip of it on Twitter a while ago

I was referring to that clip he posted on Twitter a while back (I tried finding it but I think Ngon deleted it) where it's kind of an extended version of the Marine and Aqua Sad Cat Dance. Iirc the clip had guys that Marine had called to pounce on Aqua

To clearify and also me forgeting to respond to you. If you turn off video hardware acceleration and you still have those artifactings, then it might something else on whatever you use to play the video. And "actual" artifacting is one indicators of a failing GPU.

But just in case, to anyone who has no issues, can you confirm that the curtain videos feel "laggy"?
