is this really kinetic novel? as in no choices at all and only click to next or something? 30-50 hours kinetic novel is pretty wild.

Umineko: Allow to present myself :4Head:
It was a long time ago, granted, but... Umineko is waaaay longer than 30-50 hours.
...unless that's exactly the point you were making, in which case don't you mind me.

Okay played the whole game but I'm still intrigued about the end. If some people understood it, please explain it to me ahah

This game has been intriguing for the most part. I felt really passive, I don't mind this as it gives a deep story, but I'm sad that it wouldn't give choices like in Majikoi, as it felt really like just watching a movie rather than playing smth.

I would be really thankful if someone would kindly explain me this mess. Maybe I went too fast, that too many things unraveled at the same time, or I'm just dumb, but yeah
I'm feeling the same way, I just cannot understand the ending, it opens many questions but gives zero answer, so frustrating

If you use AssetStudio(im pretty sure there's a thread about it somewhere here, or in the modding tools thread) you should be able to extract all the audio. I'm trying to remember how I extracted the Corpse Party OST(It's also in Unity) and I'm not sure if I used AssetStudio or another software, but you're welcome to try it

Edit: Ignore this, it doesn't work lol, lemme try and find what I used on corpse party
Nothing I have is working on it, sorry :(

we can intuite that the mother is nozomi and the daughter we see is from the box at the end probably snatched by nozomi.

but we can go furthor with this. Io has the ability to shapeshift, she was created by the previous head of that house. If she was going to make the greatest assassin why wouldnt it include her ability to shapeshift? Shes the one that set this entire scenario up. Shes the one that planeted the box, shes the one that told the enemy clans to use it, she pretended to be the mc in town and at several points during the game. And the end result of all those actions was those 2 at the end being created.
I want to beleive Io is from the forgin preists box since it explains a little but theres still too many unknowns. Maybe we lost some of the story in translation.

Yep, kinetic and verrrrry looooong.
True that.

Sidenote.
This kinda made me think about how the actual eff could I have possibly gotten from innocently playing Umineko roughly 9 years ago, to talking about it in a thread for an over-the-top horror-eroguro title...

Them feels, man... Are complex. o_O:unsure::cool::oops::eek:

Would someone be able to also upload or link the r18 patch for the steam version? Considering buying the game but i hate the idea of having to pay again just for the patch
I have the link but I just created this account so I can't upload it yet. If you want to, DM me.

I think it's the usual trope of a cursed item propagating itself.

It's a common trope in Japanese mysteries I feel like, or adventure stories with the "and so their journey continues", the ending is very open ended, it adds in more questions, and so you look forward for the next work, if ever there will be.

But I do feel like it wasn't in meant to be answered in the first place, the story we followed was mostly a revenge plot, not a mystery solving one. The mysteries of the box wasn't truly in question, the story was not trying to figure it out, the audience and the reporter was, but everyone else just took it as another aspect of their life, something like a natural disaster, and unless you're a scientist or live in the information age, you probably won't care much about how earthquakes or hurricanes happen aside from the very tell tale signs that it is a bad occurence.
On that note, we are alongside the reporter, who wanted to know about the Kotori-bako, but was swept along for a different story that just had a Kotori-bako in it.

I'm enjoying this more than I should have.
If anyone can reference me to other VN/games that are similar to this, I'd appreciate it.

Similar in what way? If you're looking for torture/gore Maggot Baits and Euphoria.

If you're looking for very long high quality Japanese VNs in general try Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, White Album.

If you're looking for VNs with a lot of porn try Prison Battleship.

Try looking in the database too

Might be a bit of an unpopular pick, but I think Iwaihime gives me the same vibes as this game, though obviously not as gory or horny
