I used to be a long-time supporter, but the fact that the development of the game slowed down too much + the way he communicate only on his Discord and not on Patreon discouraged me.Man I really don't want to resub to his patreon after a year of no releases.
that's patreon:The sad part is that the game is REALLY good but the developer went down the road of milking patreon money for a full fucking year, basically innoxia levels of stalling so resubbing is not a thing I am willing to do. I already paid for the game many times over waiting for a simple update.
that's patreon:
your money is not a payment. its a donation/gift
devs don't work for their cows/patreon
cows have no power over the dev or influence when or if the dev works on his project
patreons/cows get an early access/demo for their monthly donations at best
and the only thing cows can do, is stop giving milk/free money
I mean criticisms of various artists on Patreon either lying or not meeting expectations are valid, but this is a service that is literally named afterPatreon is basically just a scam.
Oh, that's just Decker2. I don't recommend engaging him. It's not even about Patreon specifically. He thinks developers should all be forced to work without pay because he hates paying for games that much. I still can't tell if it's just satire, or if he actually is that mom that gets all her news from Facebook and thinks Halloween is a form of Satanic welfare.I mean criticisms of various artists on Patreon either lying or not meeting expectations are valid, but this is a service that is literally named afterYou must be registered to see the links. Anybody surprised at not getting a "return" on their investment is foolish; it's always a donation and maybe the artist in question follows through, or they don't.

Sadly I agree with your stance on P*treon. All too many times devs will get accustomed to the easy money and do little to no work on their projects. If you want to good example to hold up as an example, I suggest using Tower of Trample and Monster Girl Island. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Just because something was always shit doesn't mean shit is good.while I agree with the general disdain for patreon, content updates were always slow for this game so I don't mind the wait. Its just become a game I only check up on every 3 months or so, and thats fine.
I mostly have a positive view about Patreon simply because a lof of project here would simply not exist without this kind of crowdfunding system. I'm ready to see a shitload of failed project and scam if it can create few good and completed project.Patreon was one of those good ideas that turned out horrible after execution. The boom in the porn game industry because of it can't be denied but neither can the number of developers thinking posting a bug fix every 3 months is now their well-deserved day job and they DESERVE your money for doing nothing. Why else would the rabid fans protect them, no the haters must the ones who are wrong.
