He had a big end of year post on ci-en talking about struggles with engine changes and a desire to work on new mechanics instead of just regurgitating more of the same for the next game though he did say he had plans for another souls-like with a new setting. He hasn't posted anything new since then.
This concern is understandable. I just finished Sinisistar 1 and 2 back to back and this is exactly the same pitfall the dev's talking about. Sinisistar 2 is bigger and meatier than the first game, but if you look at the bigger picture, the progression is exactly the same, just more polished and more bells and whistles. Even the ending CAN be the same with both final bosses appearing as the same Eldritch slugs, which makes sense since both games are following the rules set on by Bloodborne on how otherworldly being enter their world.
Not sure about that shelf, but as far as I remember default 1.07 game scripting prevents to unlock missing enemy library entries.
Cool. By the way, does the game not have weapon descriptions? Every other item has them, even the extra outfits, but I just can't find anything for the weapons themselves.
Same, it was more a remake than sequel. While I enjoyed the second one and the art is fantastic, the additional dialogue outright explaining what the priests, cults, and elder gods are doing sort of takes away from how enigmatic and atmospheric the first one was. Seal of Lutellaria and Setaria have similar graphical fidelity but maintain that creepy ambience with the lack of dialogue.
