Just found the game, and I must say hats off to you for uploading. Good luck with the translation!

Here's a rough translation of the Skills and Items. The scenes are translated too, technically, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to fix the awful text wrapping (it cuts off a lot in most of the scenes.)

However, it's better than nothing and will let you play the game with the knowledge of what your node/gear choices do. Anyone waiting for a proper clean translation will need to check in on El Capitan, and wait for that.

Make a back up of your Data.win, just in case (please.)

Now the only question is how some text translates into mechanics.

X% chance is clear
combo X seems to be every X attacks
foresight X = ???
kill X is clear

And character specific stuff that doesn't seem to have graphical effects or unclear effects
magic pursuit = ???
explosion = ???
armor break = ???
light domain = ???
pillars = ???

Not that this is that difficult once you get some items, and randombullshitgo seems sufficient.

Is there any new stage (last time I downloaded this was version 1.0). And does anyone have any of D.R’s other game? Those looks amazing and have the tags I like

Magic Pursuit is the small additional explosion following a hit from one of the Fairy's defaults.

Big Explosion is what I thought Magic Pursuit was for a minute, but it's actually a modifier on her default attack that makes it slightly bigger when it proccs. Found that out when I got a node that doubled the "Explosion size," and it occasionally made her default cover half the stage (lol)

Armor Break is a stacking debuff applied to enemies that makes them take more damage from subsequent attacks. It's usually applied through the Fairy's defaults/spells.

Didn't go so far as to unlocking the third character, so maybe someone else can chime in on the other two. I got fed up with not being able to fix the text wrapping and burnt out on the gameplay.

------------------------------

Regarding the TL:

We might be waiting a long time for a proper TL, as I honestly don't know how someone would be able to do it without decompiling the game back into Gamemaker files to do direct edits (which you legally are not supposed to do. Plus, GM makes it VERY difficult to accomplish, if not just impossible, entirely.)

A proper TL is going to be crazy difficult even if you CAN find a way to make it work (maybe by using TheUndertaleMod tool), as you'll have to really know your way around GM. The way Gamemaker parses text is by reading "glyphs." They're these letter and number textures (think of a picture of a fully laid out alphabet, the way 3D model textures are uploaded and look all stretched out) that you upload and assign the designated sections of to a value, which it then reproduces in its text boxes.

The game also seems to have its own line break logic (for text wrapping), which I couldn't make edits to without potentially breaking the entire game, as it seemed to be called in a lot of places.

If they're referring to the third character (Goddess) I would say from experience these are:

light domain = Goddess has a skill that creates a large zone centered on her that greatly slows enemies inside it, but only lasts for a few seconds. I would guess this is "light domain"

pillars = one of the Goddess's skills triggers a damaging beam of light striking enemies hit by her basic attack orbs, kind of like calling down lightning.

Using the goddess on stage 2 constantly gives me an app crash with the following error when a light domain or holy light pillar activates:

Code:
___________________________________________
############################################################################################
ERROR in
action number 1
of Step Event0
for object obj_enemy_f:

Variable <unknown_object>.tmp_hit(100274, -2147483648) not set before reading it.
at gml_Object_obj_enemy_f_Step_0
############################################################################################
gml_Object_obj_enemy_f_Step_0 (line -1)
Anyone know what that is about?

There is a newer version (released 02/09/2024) that fixes the above bug and adds a speed modifier to the stage. Available from:

Has anyone made any work on the translation since the newest version that asasa1234 mentioned? I came back to this thread a while back, and I didn't see anything since I posted last year

Nope, as mentioned by Thronico here, translating this is a bit of a nightmare:

I have a MTL version of this game, actually. I decompiled the game myself, as the message above says, and let an AI translate it. It's not amazing English but it translated the perk descriptions well enough to be playable.

I thought this was what the translation mod in this thread does, so I never bothered sharing it, but if you're just looking for just readable perk descriptions, just confirm and I'll upload it later (it's a big file). However be aware I didn't just translate it, I also modded the crap out of the game to make it more difficult (but more fun, imo). I even fixed some bugs. Overall it's a really good game, probably I should share this mod.

I'm a bit confused by what you say, because as you suspected, UnderTaleModTool allows you to do exactly that (decompiling the game) and quite easily so. But at the same time you also share the data.win, so how did you do it without UMT? Did you edit the strings in the data.win? :p

I'm also pleased to see you came across this "Big Explosion" riddle too, my AI somehow also translated this way and I was also hella confused about what it could mean (and yea I confirm it's just the normal attack of one of the characters). Among the other confusing terms, I recall there was one condition named "Every X long-range" which I thought was "every X attack" but I'm still not sure.

For your translation I'd recommend you to try UndertaleModTool, it's very easy to use, and almost all the strings to translate are put in their own files which contain 95% text and 5% minimal code. So much so that you can feed it to an AI and have it translate it decently without breaking the code. If for some reason you can't make UMT work I could also just decompile the text for you, then you translate it, and I put it back in the game for you.

That sounds interesting at least. Go ahead and post it.
