Yeah the cruise ship is the worst part of the game. The maps you get are seemingly random if you restart you can get lucky and just get different maps instead. For the ball minigame you're talking about: they always fall the exact same way so you just have to look for the gap, run to it, then wait and look for another gap. Pain in the ass but it's doable.

The concept is cool. The gameplay is horrible. I gave up on the volleyball game in the cruise. Impossible to keep the ball. And impossible to take it back from the opponent's hands. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears.
