I wish the game could be released on another engine. I know there is little to no chance it ever happens,but RAGS is *very* painful to work with as player, especially since updates (associated to their potential bugs) keep rolling in. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I also would like to see the possibility to be overthrown to be extended in the future. What already exists, as description of what happens when the player character is successfully challenged as leader, is satisfying enough to me. Unskilled leaders should realistically not be able to remain at the head of a ruthless band of slavers in an unforgiving environment for long. It would be the wrong choice of a game to play through as a total bimbo.
What I'd like to see however are more opportunities to be challenged, why not with allies andenemies "doubters" in the mix, or even outright full coteries subtly opposing what the player character attempts to achieve. One would hard pressed to accuse some experienced slavers to ever have too much scruples when it comes to power play.
This could also lead to scenarios where the player character could not start as the natural leader in the pack, but would have to work their way up to the top through talent, bribery, diplomacy and of course seduction, with all that it implies as risk of back firing.
Hopefully we haven't seen the end of this fine game yet, even though I once again remain cautious because of the severe and crippling limitations of the engine. It would be such a better game on anything else than RAGS.

Looks like a great game but thats all it is so far, downloaded game using mega but being on windows 10 im prompted to pick an app to open it with... unsure what app works for this game so a little help would be nice..not tech savy so dnt mention Rags or what it is because its over my head.
How lazy can someone be .. the game needs the RAGS engine to run .. as all RAGS based games. The engine is not installed on your computer so windows tries to tell you that your missing something .. so check the internet and download a RAGS version for windows 10 and install it .. and hope that it's compatible with the game.
So open google type in "rags engine windows 10", download the engine and install it. The free version should work.

Same here , just today i stumbled on this game my self . The only thing that ur and mi experience on it is , that i know about Rags , and how bad of an engine it is . Btw u will need 2.6.1.0 version of rags and SQL
Just google : Rags 2.6.1.0 download (and there u will see an article on tumbler or something like that , and it provides links to the stuff u need .

I figured it out somehow..but tbh yea.. the UI layout is horrible.. the game concept is amazing and id love to play it but...not on Rags XD..if anyone makes a game like this on something like..Renpy? then hmu
Well yes , there are some games like hmm , try Lilith's Throne , there are more , but i got no idea what u alredy played , or played and did not like . So its difficult to suggest something that way , just ehm dont be a lazy twat and use the search button with tags like slaveryAnd run it that way . Yeah rags sucks a lot .. it's a engine from the past nearly nobody use it anymore as it is rather feature limited and you easiliy have some version problems if the game was written with a older rags version.

Its really a great game but it doesn't age well, rags is wonky and super slow even on modern PCs but its commendable that its still being worked on.
If No Haven was made in another game engine it would be the best management/cyoa porn game ever made in my opinion.

Is there a way to make the UI work? I love the concept but right now just selecting slavers for a mission is a chore.
how to play ? i instaled rags 2.6.1.0 and it says "sorry, game is unreadable. But in readme file in this game it says this version of rags should work without any problem.
So will instaling more modern version will fix this problem ?

Two possiblities
Most likely - you also have to install the SQL component, normally included with the RAGS download, but it is a separate application to install
Also - you cannot run a RAGS game in a read only folder or if the file is readonly. Always save it to a folder you have full read/write access to and run from said folder
Renpy is a terrible engine for a game like this. That being said, RAGS is a terrible engine for every game, lol. Such a shame the developer chose to use RAGS for this game.
