whenever i try to run it, it says that the rags game file is unreadable. Does anybody know a fix???

Try running it with RAGS 2.6.1.0, some people tend to get that error message when using the newest versions of RAGS.
install sqlce 3.5. it's needed for rags and might be why rags3 isn't working with 0.953 as it does for me. amazing how this isn't in the Important RAGS Information (not that anyone would read it) but it is brought up in almost every page of this topic.

Is the new assignment in great plains (the e:fi one) showing up for anyone? Ive been idly clicking at this game for the whole day, im at month 16 and im yet to even see it lol
In fact the only rare assignment i saw in great plains was raiding elven farm lol. And the game crashed after 26 months.

Downloaded 0,953, but when I try to load the save from 0,951 I get some popup, if I still load the save I get error popups in game and the game version shows as 0,951 instead of new.
Do old saves not work and you have to replay again and again after every update?

Save games include a save state of the current game. They're not compatible with other versions of a game.

I dont think there are any. I also have a tiny suspicion rare assignments arent showing up as often as they should in this latest patch, might be a bug. Ive spent two ingame years looking for the new plains assignment and it never showed up.
I heard AGFN doesn't spawn in the first 3 or 4 months, but by month 6 it should definitely be showing up, so yeah maybe something is bugged
Maybe I'm just really unlucky. Just have to keep trying. At least I know I'm not missing something obvious now. Cheers all

I see some posts about RAGS being..well, RAGS.
I've come back to this game inbetween months breaks, and the only successful playthrough I've ever had NOT end in bugs, glitches, or crashes is a Regalia conversion.
This post I'm making right before maybe starting my next playthrough, and after so long I cant remember the specific Regalia issues. I remember clearly everything being overall far better than RAGS as long as you save frequently, and never Cancel an assignment (if you do just reload).
Edit: Since the conversion on the top post is out of date I threw together this one. I read the tuts and heres my first ever, andpersonally untested (until maybe later on tonight or tomorrow) beyond main menu. Hopefully works. New version conversion posted later on
