Sorry if this has been answered here already. Using the steam version, is there a way to get the music to play again? It works on title screen and then the rest of the game is silent. I'm not opposed to digging into game files, but if someone has answered/found a work around, that's be great. I fell in love with this game's soundtrack and playing the game quietly definitely takes away from the experience. Thanks!

There is currently an issue with the licensing for the music used in the game (and many other AVN / games). The developer had to remove from current product but has ideas on how to resolve the music issue. Totally agree that the music in the game absolutely rocks and makes the game even more amazing. Developer and his team are on it and full trust that they will come up with a solution at some point.

Unfortunantly this is a known issue with any music originally provided through Artist.io They made a change to their Licensing terms about a year ago and added an anti-pornography clause, which invalidated the licensing for many developers who were using their service. At least one Dev learned of this the hard way when his game was removed from steam for licensing breaches and at least some of his sales were refunded.

The majority of music licensing companies have some version of an anti-porn or even in some cases anti-nudity clauses. This makes procuring music a pain for us devs, especially those, like myself, who are just starting and have very little support. But we also know how importaint the right music can be for setting the mood in a game.

RC, myself, and several other devs are seeking work arounds. Some Devs have gone to hireing local musicians to write and record music specifically for their work. Others are contacting each artist individually and securing licensing on a one at a time basis. Both of those options are time consuming. I am running down leads with multiple other companies looking for licensing conpany with no anti-porn clause. May have found one through Shutterstock of all places. If it pans out I will share this info with RC and a number of other Devs who are also dealing with this issue.

I assumed it was something to do with licensing. Which is unfortunate and also a marketing loss in a way. Sure, you may not want your music connected to porn in any way, but that may also be the way someone discovers your music.

Should start making music and putting in a clause that it is only allowed in porn. ;)

Totally agree....personally I found like 25 + new music groups or singers that I actively now look for their other music because their stuff (some of which is absolutely amazing works of art) were included in No More Money, and also in the developer's other game Paradox. There is a youtube "official sound track" song playlist for both No More Money and also for Paradox if you want to look those up.

That was actually what I did when Howling at the Moon played for the first time. I stopped playing, found the playlist, added it into my library, and went back to the game. Until that point, I wasn't super into the sound on most AVNs. Now, I'm actively looking for more music from them. And all it took was one perfectly executed character introduction.

If you use music/songs right, they completely enhance the game play! I wated 5 1/2 years after discovering this site and the world of adult VNs before I started working on my own because I wanted to play as many as I could and figure out what I saw that worked. At first I used to mute every game because the music was a distraction, but then a few Devs began taking it to a whole new level and I;m so glad I discovered the awesome diference it makes.

RC is a master at using music in his VN's!

Hopefully the music licensing issue all gets worked out soon, Royal Candy and team really really nailed it with the music picked out, sets scenes, sets mood, great with action shots and romance scenes
