Yeah trust me there are just a few jobs better payed than what he was earning on patreon and one of them is the president of Romania... soo i'm very sure this is not the reason why quit, he was making bank with this game for the country where he is...

Rip the guy was ambitious for his own sake but still was doing quality games. I hope he comes back but my bet he won't tbh.

With what he was making, it's almost certainly something happened in his life he REALLY doesn't want to talk about (personal, family, etc.) He wouldn't do it just for the hell of it.

I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to share some news that I received this past Saturday, which has had a big impact on my life and made me reconsider my priorities. After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to pause all activities related to RoyalCandy for the time being.
This wasn’t an easy choice for me, especially considering how much your support has meant in helping me live my dream of becoming a game developer and achieving financial stability. I’m incredibly grateful to you all for making that possible, and it’s tough to step away from something I’ve worked so hard on. But right now, this is the best decision I can make.
While I’ve always aimed to be open and honest with you, I can’t go into details about what’s going on personally. What I can do is pause all billings, so no one will be charged moving forward. It wouldn’t feel right to continue accepting payments without being able to deliver the work you expect, like some others might do in similar situations.
Thank you so much for the past seven years. It’s been an absolute pleasure being part of this community, and I’m deeply grateful for your support. I’m not sure when, or if, I’ll be back, but for now, I have to say goodbye.

So I strongly suspect that rc might have a serious health issue, otherwise he wouldn't have left so abruptly and resolutely.

I hope that RC can overcome whatever challenges he faces, not just to come back and produce a quality game, but in general. Life has its ups and downs and it can be difficult sometimes, but refocusing where you're needed is a must and sometimes you have to reinvent yourself or make drastic changes to salvage who or what you love. This was the Best INC game I ever played, I hope Dev is well and take care of himself first, let him rest and comeback to atleast to finish the game and retire permanently after its finished for the sake of his fans.

Almost sounded like a personal health thing. Either for themselves or a loved one but that's just pure speculation. Either way I wish them well and hope to possibly see a return down the road.

This is serious sad and bad news. First I want to whish RC all the best and may the force be with him!
This game is in my top 5 of best games here on the site. I will definitely miss it! The only we have now is to replay our saves and whishing the game to continue. Worst thing is missing the steamy sex with Denise which was in the planning.
