No the game has not been announced as "dead". It's a temporary pause due to a major unforseen event in the developer's life. We don't know what that event was, nor do we know if or when the project will be resumed. All we know is that development is paused and it has not been announced as "dead" or abandoned. Here's the announcement. Please read it.
TL,DR : Indeterminate future != dead . Regardless of the status of this VN though, there is still plenty of good content in it worth playing through v4.1.1, and it's still better than 98% of the low effort garbage on F95. That's why people still play and follow No More Money.
If you've already deleted your saves though, then a better question is why are you still in this thread bugging people? If you're really done with NMM, then you can easily play one of the aforementioned garbage bin games and ask dumb questions in those threads instead of this one.
I mean, I can see where dluser is coming from. RC did announce it as a "Temporary Pause", but when he ends the announcement with "I’m not sure when, or if, I’ll be back", it's understandable why people would just consider it abandoned now to rip that band aid off. What I don't agree with dluser on, however, is applying that point of view to others. Personally, I'm looking at it as RC is gone and not coming back, and if he does I'll just be pleasantly surprised. What I wouldn't do is insist to others that the game is dead and say something like "no one would buy a 1/2 finished book".You beat me to it. And said it much more eloquently than I would have.

For those that were concerned, RoyalCandy indeed paused the Patreon for another month. "Proof of Life" and keeping their word to have it paused until they hopefully return to developing the game.
no one said they were a liar, they have always been true to their word.
