So conflicted when reading so many comments. I kinda agree with both sides.
One who are bashing RC for abandoning a perfectly fine game on an very suspicious excuse he gave.
On other hand I also kinda agree with other who believe whatever his reason for abandoning is his...(right? I don't what's appropriate word here).
I hate when devs abandon games, I hate when dev milk patrons on name of slow burn, I hate when white knight refuse to believe that devs are horse and development period is the grass they feed on. Not the complete product, but the developing period. The longer it is the more the income. I hate the devs insert unnecessary characters to make updates after long wait no one wants. I hate when devs give the most demanded scenes on most important characters the last.
All that being said, I still wanna believe RC because man he was so good of a AVN dev for last 2-3 years. Had regular communication, was good to talk both on patreon and even here.
I honestly thought he was best AVN dev I've know, So when he said he would be not able to continue the development I was disappointed but still understood as life is complicated. But as I read through and reread and now rethinking it.
His reasoning doesn't make sense.
It's clear he lied to leave out details he did not want to disclose but if that's the case then say it like that.
Make up a reason that makes sense, I'm not a patron now but I was at one point of time. And even if one is not a patron and just someone who played his games and spread word of it. People deserve better explanation of why this was abandoned.
