Hi guys,
How's everyone doing? I hope you all had an amazing week!

As for me, it’s been a bit of a rough one. As you know, my main bottleneck right now is rendering animations. Until now, I’ve been using a machine with 2x 1080TI for rendering animations and another with 2x 3090s for everything else.

A few weeks ago -thanks to your support- I was able to invest in a brand-new rendering machine with 2x5090s to improve the workflow. It finally arrived earlier this week. After spending hours setting everything up, I realized the software I use doesn’t yet support the 50xx series. Eventually, I found a workaround using an alpha version. It’s not fully stable and a few features are missing, but overall, it works and it allows me to retire the old machine and significantly improve development speed.

That being said, the whole setup process and debugging took up most of my time this week, so I was only able to pose a few scenes, not as many as I’d hoped. Still, with the new hardware (mostly) up and running, I’m excited to get back on track next week with much more power behind me.

To give you a better idea of the upgrade, here’s a quick benchmark comparing the render times of the old setup (2x3090) and the new one (2x5090) for the image in this post.

I hate the shit Nvidia does with all its shady anti consumer practices but man it's hard to hate them knowing how good they are compared to their competition. Professional space there is no alternative really.
Great News for RC and us with new setup. I guess new updates might let less time.
I wonder what other big AVN devs use for their setup.
There are AVNs that started 6-7 years ago and still haven't got the actions players wanted in game.

Pretty sure this quote originated long before the internet. Back then if you asked someone a question it was generally done face to face or over a telephone. Asking a stupid ass question either way could lead to potential embarrassment so people were more likely to actually think before they spoke.

Nowadays though you can ask all the dumb questions you want online and there'll be little to no blowback irl. The rampant stupidity without consequence is one of the worst things about the information age.
