You know what? I'll respond to this. Also "This game sucks" hurts my soul
Mia's path is the one and ONLY time I have ever adjusted things in the story based on player feedback (And as far as story content goes? Probably the only time). I'll explain!
Mia was original intended to be an extremely minor side path. If you play through the Candice/Mira path, you'll have some idea of about the level Mia's path was originally supposed to be. After CH1 was released, Mia was the far and away favorite. (That's changed since, but she still tends to rank fairly highly). As I was working on CH2, I thought about what would I want to do with her path if I made one that was more than just a few random encounters. After CH2 was released, again - tons of Mia love.
As I worked on CH3, I decided to pull the trigger on it. I took Mia's story, and went to work seeing how I could make her story work with an actual path. As I built the path, I decided to make it the most difficult path in AVN history as a big fuck you to everyone making me do actual work. Okay that last part was a lie - although I've heard more than once from people it is the most difficult path they've ever played.
What really happened was simply a consequence of essentially creating a full path for Mia partway through. One of my main requirements for it, was I didn't want her path to actually change anything in the story, and I didn't want to have to make changes to anything based on it. Some things I ended up having to expand, and some things I had to... duplicate? for lack of a better word? This will make more sense after you've played CH6, 7, and 8 (Obviously none of them are out yet, so you can't!).
The result was in order to have her path make sense, without changing anything or having to make major modifications, it needed to meet a LOT of requirements. If I had lowered the requirements for the path, it would have meant needing to change parts of the story. In some cases minor, in other cases major ones - and I wasn't willing to do that. Trying to lower the requirements without changing anything, would have meant some things just wouldn't make any sense - again, I wasn't okay with that. So having her path be way more difficult than usual, was a result of the above - deciding partway to give her an actual path, and not wanting to have to make any actual story changes in doing so.
Had I stuck to my original plans, you would have had a chance for 1 Mia encounter already, with 1 more in future content, and that would have been it. Allowing her to have an actual path is a lot of extra work - not just in simply the extra content that needs to be produced, but always making sure it always makes sense and in no way contradicts anything else - but at the end of the day, it is what it is. If I could go back I'd probably not have added her path - because it really *IS* a healthy amount of work to maintain it, and I already have quite a lot on my plate with this game - but it exists now, so some day you'll see the conclusion of it all.
