Dang, this was in my watchlist for a while since it seemed similar to TLS.
Wanted to finally try it, but after reading some old stuff, I guess the whole Ariadne having slept with other guys bothers me too much to try. Oh well
I had the same experience as you, just ctrl skip the first chapter or the next, I didn't even know the rumor about the princess sleeping with many men before I saw the discussion a few pages back, sometimes you don't need to look at the forums and play the game you like without the influence of the forums
This isn't your fault, but it irritates me that people have blown this out of proportion (and consequently depriving the game of potential supporters who would love it if they just tried the game). And I say that as someone who hates NTR with the passion of a thousand suns. So I'm going to do my best to convince you to play the game anyways, but just be aware that my response is mostly intended for the record/anyone else who reads this stuff.
Do you only play games with love interests who are virgins? There's no shame if that's the case, I'm not trying to kinkshame here. It's just that the vast majority of games on this website do not qualify by that measure (including TLS!). Generally, for myself, so long as any such sexual activity is in the past and isn't rubbed into our faces I don't mind if the love interest has a history. Would I prefer that not be the case? Yeah mostly, but I accept that I can't have that if I want to play almost any of the games on this website.
In Noblesse, Ariadne's history exists for one reason and one reason only: to explain why she's ok with Alexander having a mistress. The first two chapters involve the three of them traveling together in close company, so Ariadne explains to Ligaea (the mistress) that there's no hard feelings despite her engagement to Alexander because of their arrangement. This is one conversation. Once. It lasts about ten lines.
Ever thereafter the game moves towards Alexander and Ariadne entering into a more romantic relationship than either of them anticipated (slowly at first, then rapidly) and she has zero inclination to ever look at another man.
If you hate NTR like I do, you should be perfectly fine with this game. If you can't stand the thought of sleeping with anyone but a virgin, then I guess it is not the game for you. But then neither is TLS (where for example:
)
, nor any of the many many other games on this website.
Ultimately, in matters of taste, this is obviously going to land differently for many people. But please, don't let some idiotic misrepresentations tell you what to think about this game without giving it a try yourself. I promise it won't disappoint you.
Nah, I generally prefer virgins but don't really care that much. Nothing in TLS really bothered me for example. It was a great game.
I just happen to be very particularly bothered by this plot choice, since they are technically engaged. I just happened to find it weird.
Though I am curious, so to be clear, is it mentioned/evident that she slept with other guys? Or is it more like they had an arrangement, and she 'could have' situation.
these. they where having political marige, there fathers made engagment plans, and they talked about having to freely able to pursue relationship while they are under cover in foreign nation, and really non of them used it or at least game never gose about it becouse its not important and never gets mentions after start.
