I'm still undecided on Tegan especially when you compare against the non party twin. Mia , Imogen and Ava are my top 3 for now

Well, I actually replayed the game not that long ago, and my top-3 changed a bit. Imogen and Alice are out, Ava and Rachel are in.
Tegan is still my undeniable favourite though.
So as of right now it would be Tegan=>Ava=>Rachel for me.
(yeah, I remember that Rachel is a side girl)

Exact same top 3 as me (even same order).
(But Alice, Mia & the Twins are pretty special too as MG, and Rainn, Molly, Melody & Mariah as SG's that caught my eye too. I like Taylor too, but I don't think she'll even be SG).

When it comes to MGs: I have Tegan/Ava tied for the 1st place, and also Twins, tho I like non-party twin more, Bobbie if I'm not mistaken.

This one, it's either Taylor, Beth or Dani. They've been in same scenes and I can't quite work which one is which. So whoever this one is. (But I think my roommate is after her).

tbh Imogen felt like one of my favorite type of LI i love to see someone that the MC can be there for to help her and comfort her when needed. I also did feel bad for her not as much as Rainn . But I love how she looks but yeah that also means dealing with her drama
I did like Rachael but until I figure out what kind of side girl she is not gonna really even put her in my top list for this game. I don't really like to include side girls in my favorites unless they are a bit more than a side girl for lewds.

Cicada said in his game there won't be usual side girls just for lewds. They will have their sub-plots and some side girls will even have more screen time than main girls, just smth to keep in mind.

kind of thought I recalled that as well but wasn't sure thanks for confirming it but either way usually my general rule with Side girls anyways till I see more content with them. I don't like to get to attached to them and put them in the running over main girls too quickly

Just read back through this little conversation r.e. side girls, and realized I could elaborate a bit on this in case I've not explicitly said before: there's 9 endings to the game. One involving the 8 main LIs, and one where you don't pursue any main girl.
The only differences, to me, between the main girls and side girls are a) whether or not they've their own version of the endings. And b) side girls will never form an established 'relationship' with the MC.
Aside from that they're functionally identical to main girls. They've each got their own problems, stories, motivations, same as any other character.
And as mentioned above that means that some side girls will be more prominent than some of the main LIs, because that aligns more with their personality (i.e. they're more outgoing/sociable, so you see them more often).
That might clear up/clarify a little a few things r.e. side girls for people, that those are my two differences between main and side LIs in this game. Don't think just because a girl is or isn't a main LI that they'll get a certain amount of scenes/screentime. This is very much a game with disproportionate amounts of content for each girl. Which might annoy some people if they're favorite gets overlooked, but hopefully the actual substance of the content will make up for it in those cases where a character is less involved.

The render count for chapter 3 is now at around 1300. I've not quite finished the big scene yet, I mentioned in the previous dev log that I was hoping to maybe have finished it by the end of this month, but I've still got a little bit to work through to tie the scene off nicely. There's quite a bit of choice and branching elements in just this scene alone, so I'm trying to make sure it's all coherent before I move on. I want to avoid having to come back to this at a later date because of something I've overlooked.
I'm also in the process of acquiring a new computer. It won't arrive for a while yet as I've got to wait for the graphics card I've picked for it to be in stock and available. This is a pretty large expense but it's going to massively cut render times, which as I've repeatedly mentioned is the bottleneck for releasing updates. I'll also be keeping my current computer because there's functionally nothing wrong with it, so I will be rendering with two computers at the same time. This'll mean adjusting my workflow slightly because I'll work through two scenes simultaneously, one on each computer, but that's not exactly a problem, it'll just be an adjustment. I won't know for sure until I actually have the new machine and can run a few side-by-side tests, but prospectively the render times might be as much as 5x quicker with the new GPU, according to examples I've seen online, which is insane to think about. But, as mentioned above, I don't know exactly when I'll actually have the new machine. So for now, at least, I'm just carrying on as usual.

Hello! A quick little update. I've just finished the big pool party scene for chapter 3. It's ended up being over 800 renders for that scene alone. That's over half the size of chapter 1, for reference.
That's all I really had to say, just a small update on things now that I've finally finished the scene. It feels good to move on to the rest of the chapter. For reference, there's 15 scenes left, of varying length. Some are short transitional or set-up scenes, some are longer. But I'm definitely closer to the end of ch3 than the start.
I'm still waiting on the new computer, so assuming that isn't too far away I anticipate progress to speed up quite a lot now that I can move on to smaller scenes with less characters that'll hopefully render quicker (definitely render quicker on the new machine).
