Possibility of all of this devs games see finished before 2020 45%
abandonment before the end of 2018: 99%
That is to my experience and based on other developers. Most developers cannot see through, they just abandon, they saw money on Patreon and think lets go for it. They find iot hard to do and see no creativity and go with a new project. The more projects they have the less chance something will be finished.

I have a good work and a good pay, I don't need PATREON.
I create games for the pleasure, there are 3 and not 4 for the moment.
I have an idea.
I go bought a scenario,500 dollars.
I will put it on renpy.
I go paid 200 or 300 dollar for the translation.
1 month or 2 to make the update, one month of rest and then I'd distribute the update.
Total 1000 to 3000 dollars per month,easy.

I joke, I go continued has creates games on RPG MAKER MV and I hope that they will be soon correctly translated.

why you hide the update behind paywall patrons first ?
if you dont need patreon (like me), then your game should be completly free at the very beginning. and not hidden temporary behind a paywall patreon tier system.

This to me Ren'py is only the best engine if your in a hurry to fap and already played through the story once, since you can just skip everything to get to the sex scenes...
But I put RPGM above all the other engines easily... Java is awful (not sure if it's this one or HTML, but loading on a browser annoys the piss out of me) add to that hey are mostly text based games with drawings or pictures of famous enough porn stars and *yawn*...
Unity... Has potential, but to me it's a worse Ren'py as most people use it similarly and it saves the games to stupid random locations rather than its own game folder like Ren'py does...
Unreal Engine - probably the best, but not a lot of people know how to use it well, the only game from this engine I have in my folde is Breeders of Nephylym, which is pretty decent at best.

one of the main reasons why i love renpy the most is because i can make a personal cg galley out of my saves so i can revisit them for nice fap still i have to respect that most of my favorite games are on or started on Rpgm
Game needs a lot of work. There's no guidance on where to go or what to interact with, no idea what I'm supposed to be doing here. I walk around the town and there's no other NPCs anywhere, can't enter any building except my own house and even the included "help" file is useless to me because I can't even start the content. According to the help file, the computer is a "Quest Log" but I can't interact with it after the first time when it makes the joke of your computer getting a virus.
You should really add in some sort of navigation or quest log system of some kind so that people know what they're supposed to be doing. You only have a few of the glowing stars to tell the player where they can go (one outside the house and one telling you where you can enter the other part of the city). But you need to put those stars or some kind of visual identifier on *every* interactable item or map/building change location. Dont make the player wander around aimlessly for an hour spamming Z on every single tile, no one wants to play a game like that.
Based on the genre I want to like this game but until you get things sorted out here this game is unplayable to me
