I'm a patron since the second update and still support MrSilverLust.
I also think it was a shitty move to leak the update so close to release. Like he said, that caused a series of problems on other platforms and made him lose much needed support.
We should also take into account that MrSilverLust went out of his way to improve the game adding new videos to all the chapters.
And let's not forget how he answered players requests by adding a "vanilla" path for Jen that wasn't in the plans, further improving the game and making players happier.
All those things take time and effort!
I don't see the need or logic behind the hate reviews, the acusations of milking and delay (as if he's making a fortune) or the premature leaks (that kinda sounded...). We are fortunate (now I can say WE) that he kept his cool and pace and there's an update coming this tuesday.
I understand... I also feel the itch when waiting for the games I like. But a little patience goes a long way. The game will surely make it's way here and there's no need to harm the dev.
If you were referring to something else, my apologies, but I wanted to say something after the last stream of impatient posts.
Let's hope it's a great update, like ALL the others before.

looks like i'll be replaying this game then at some point was waiting for the steam release to replay it I want those acheivements but im skipping the chess matches this time lol

I appreciate the effort that goes into making those chess games but I'm just not a fan of it, so I usually skipped the boring parts

For me it depends how boring it is. Something like the chess games id only play once on my first playthrough. Something this is boring but not a snore fest i'll play again if I replay the game.

I don´t know, if it was supposed to release yerterday and today the game hasn´t been released i supposed maybe next Tuesday

Though you are correct, I see that I should have phrased that a bit better. I put milking and delay together to enphasize the unfairness and tone of the criticism. I haven't read anything like that in his patrons posts, though I can't say anything about their eventual PMs, obviously. You just isolated thet part of the comment...
Because he thought he'd do it and shit happens?
I should know because I write for a living (not in English as you may guess, at least original texts) and I've failed countless deadlines because I was just so sure I had more than enough time... Even when things didn't go wrong I'd use any time I had to perfect things.
I've been scolded and praised, been fired and received awards for doing things the same way and the only times I lost my temper was when someone was barking at my door because I was late. Can't think of any way that can help.
I'm not blindly defending the dev. I know trust takes along time to gain and very little to lose. I'm just sharing my views and experience and saying it shouldn't go down that easily.
Yes, because that was the relevant part. It should be quite easy to see why people are upset when he's more then 3,5+ months late on delivering on his self imposed delivery date.
It's not like he's done a mayor recalibration and will be providing 3x the content for the 3x extra time spent, it's the same small update.
In fairness this is not my fight to have, I couldn't care less if he releases an update or not. But I do think it's reasonable to hold people somewhat accountable to their word.

Yeah if you're not sure to release at the date you announce, don't announce it. Especially after a few months of delay
