That's true. It could either be a massive nightmare for him or if he can pull it off it's going to make a lot of people pretty happy it's a pretty big gamble for him I think.

I play chess so I really liked all the games featured (I let Emma win the bet though in my main playthrough), but I think Jen had some better option during 2nd guess (I'm not sure, cause I didn't analyze it [not the reason I play adult games after all], but that's what I thought after 1st glance).

Great fucking start man! The Chess scenes were a little too long for me, so thanks for giving the option to skim through it. And that last scene. Fucking yes. Another update or two and I'll gladly jump on the support train
I still think it’s funny that I can get away with putting chess games in the 1st episode of a porn game :ROFLMAO: But I’m not crazy, I obviously know that the majority of the players want to skip them.

But it is actually nice to read the occasional comment from someone that got surprised for enjoying the games. With the twitch chess boom from last year together with the success that was the Netfix’s show “The Queen’s Gambit”, I guess people might be more open to this game that has always been more associated with nerds and regarded as boring. I personally think it is really fun to play.

I'm also quite curious about every LI's kink (I'm not fan of hatefuck tbh, but I left 2nd save with it, cause I hope it will serve as a door for more aggressive SM scenes in the future, but at the same time I'm afraid that it may hinder MC in his pursuit of other women that I find more to my taste [though if their kinks won't be compatibile with mine MC's then I guess the sacrifice was for naught]), so good job with making everyone interesting.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of mechanics where the player is making choices without knowing that he is making a choice. By that I mean that I’d consider a bad game design if 4 episodes down the line I’d lock some players out of their favorite LI because in episode 1, while MC is single and owns nothing to anyone, they decided to fuck some other girl. However, I do understand that once in a while, such a choice can exist, especially if in hindsight the consequences makes perfect sense. So, I won’t promise to never do such thing. I’m just saying that I think it has to be really well done to be anything else than just a way to annoy players.

If/when it comes to choosing between girls (just speculating, no spoilers), I hope I can set it up properly so that everyone knows what choice they are making. Hopefully I can even make you all think a bit before choosing because you like all the girls.

Also, if/when it comes to a situation where sleeping around can screw up your current relationship (so, basically cheating), I hope I can have a system in place where the player knows exactly what is going on, the consequences, and that he can either get away with it or get screwed. Maybe such risk can even make sex scenes hotter, who knows (again, no spoilers).

I share the same fears of you all, but I’m somewhat confident that I have a good plan to handle that problem without getting over my head and/or have just 2 updates per year. But I guess we will talk again about this a few chapters down the line.

I kind of assumed that hatefuck with Emily will not lock me out of other relationships, cause it would be too early in the game, but I was slighty afraid that maybe it won't be the case, plus I wondered how it would work if my MC would have loyal skill in the future. But my biggest fear is that I won't have enough points for all the skills I want (my main playthrough is honorable/sensitive), so I'm trying to strategically plan my leveling process :)

The renders are decent, although there is a tendency to overdo adding black lines on the edges of the models (at least in the game previews). I would think making the black different shades of grey instead and/or eliminating them entirely would work better. As it is now, the art style seems like some kind of hybrid between Daz3D and hand-drawn. If that's intentional, of course, that's fine; I just hope that stays consistent throughout.

I understand the desire to differentiate from everyone else but it is more frustrating and off-putting than interesting. If this has a decent plot I'm going to be even more unhappy because putting up with bad art with a good plot makes my garbage can extra hot and smelly.

The developer did explain why this style was used, and it was (mostly) not for artistic reasons, apparently. I know next to nothing about rendering, so I really wouldn't be able to say anything about that. I'm actually OK with it, although it's an acquired taste, somewhat like art in something like Offcuts.

Yeah, the lines are too thick. Especially around the heads of the models. Otherwise the premise is interesting but not attention grabbing. Honestly not thrilled with the skills system so far either. Just feels very "wait and see". I can say it will be easy to decide for the MC to be celibate considering the art, really find it kills all appeal.

I like the art style. It started as a way to reduce the detail in the scenes to be able to render in a reasonable amount of time using an old pc, but it quickly grew on me. Being different from everyone else was an added bonus, but not the motivation. I also enjoy the gorgeous photorealistic renders present in some of the best games over here. But my choice was never between that and my art style. It was always between my art style and no game. It was a compromise. But one that I started to love and will now stand by for it.

The outlines indeed start too thick. As I gained more experience making renders and also got some feedback over here in a developmental tread, it became clear to me that thinner outlines are more aesthetic pleasing and I started rendering that way consistently. Unfortunately, I probably made the rookie mistake of asking for feedback way too late in the development of the 1st chapter. I still fixed a bunch of the worst renders in the 1st half of the game, but it was too much work to redo everything. The end of the episode is a better representation of the style I’ll be using going forward, although I’ve received some more suggestions in the last couple days to improve it a bit more that I will try out. That being said…

Some people like the art style and try the game because of it. I like it too. The majority seems to still enjoy the game in spite of the art style. And some, like you, really don’t like it at all. I completely understand that this won’t be everybody’s cup of tea. There are plenty of games over here with different art styles and we can all choose what we like more and want to play.

I was also wondering if it was too much “teasing the player” to show all skills at the beginning of the game. But I couldn’t find a better way of doing it because it’s a skill tree: the player has to choose from the beginning where he wants to allocate his points in the tree, and it is way better for him to make that decision having full knowledge of the skill tree. Once again, the enjoyment of a system like this will be a personal preference. I’m not surprised it doesn’t please everybody.

This 1st chapter was obviously more focused on getting to know Emma and Jen. Every girl will have her chance to shine in one of the few chapters, but it might take a couple updates before everyone is fully fleshed out and I can start increasing the kinky content in the game with your favorite girl. I'm sorry, but I won’t spoil the ones we will get to spend more time with in chapter 2. I like that people go relatively blind in the game/updates and get surprised.

Crashes using joiplay emulator on android. Is this not renpy?

Amazing start of the game. Guessing fetishes and buying sexual skills are both great mechanics that I really enjoyed,art style is very original,so are the girls. This have potential to be one of the best imo,thanks for sharing dev and good luck.

Game doesn't start using the emulator. Directly crashes. As for all other renpy games that use default renpy UI with music and transition options , they're all perfectly playable and very clear to the eyes as well so no need to be concerned about visibility.
I got curious and tried to see what the problem was.

Btw, does joiplay work well for you? I can only open any game once, if I try to open it or any other game again it crashes. The only solution I could found was to uninstall “Renpy Plugin for JoiPlay” and install again each time I want to start to play any game…

This game uses a bunch of custom screens and, as I thought, it’s not very comfortable to play on my phone, although part of the problem was the curved edges of my screen. Also, some menu images are messed up, and some buttons are in inconvenient places. For whatever reason, the choice buttons are really small the first time I open the game, and only after restarting it they look as intended. Ah, and half of the animations don’t even play, but that’s apparently because of the way I coded them. Good to know.

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to play my game in this conditions. It pains me a bit to have spent a lot of time polishing stuff and making animations, just for a bunch of things to look bad in Joiplay and that’s how a player will experience the game.

But if you must…
  • Download and extract
  • Copy and replace the “game” folder where you installed the game in your phone.
  • Inside that same “game” folder, delete OpenGL.rpa
  • Play

Specifically referring to the black outlines & where they replace shadows. From what I've seen that look tends to pop much better when it's kept to a bordering/outline style rather than something that is also used to replace shading & gradients.

Also the black girl looked like Mr. T with all the heavy shading when she was first introduced, made me chuckle a bit. I'll try dig out a picture if I remember later on. In the meantime, go look for it, it cannot be unseen.
