Now it takes almost 3 months for one small update.

tbf, last month they already said they took vacationfor a month. and it is the first time it took 1 month+ for one update.

and based on this thread, it stated last updat on 16 july 2025, so to be precise it still not reach 2 month mark yet.

i can give noisy benefit of the doubt because as update goes on, the branching kept getting larger/seperated from one another and i can assume so does the time to developt it. and noisy still have their irl job albeit they already tried to negotiate to their employer to lower their work responsiblity.

i say stay chill and wait for the one week mark before jumping the gun. one week delay every update is a child play around here.

yes, there are many othergame in this site that always on time but then again most of them release every 3, 6 months or even a year. and majority of the game didnt even have a routine release cycle unlike this game.

When i was part of the discord many of the subscriber always ask Nosy to slow down and rest.

Yeah, the discord guys are really weird as hell. Every time he says he's pushing to meet a deadline, everyone there just tells him to stop working and get some rest. It's like they actually want him to work less.

being rich is not why people in discord channel the way they are, being an echo chamber is.

most people who disstatisfied with the dev or game (any game or dev) usually never utter their disappointment in discord. if they did, other fans will mock them and in many case, being banned. then the only people who active in the server will be those who are giving positive vibe, be it false positivity or not.

It is not that we want him to work less. In the past Nosy pushed himself far beyond his limits for and update and it was extremely detrimental for his health. He spent like 4 or 5 days without any sleep/rest while continuing his RL work too (with normal hours at that time), I let you guess the end result. So yes now we are asking him to take care of himself more...

For me it is not Nosy's fault why this past few months he is beggening to milk it. I think it is his subscribers fault. When i was part of the discord many of the subscriber always ask Nosy to slow down and rest. They can wait for 3 months each update. Nosy use to give 2 updates in one month. Now it takes almost 3 months for one small update. And remember guys v.022 is bigger update so it may take more than a month for sure.

If his subscribers, the ones paying him, say he could take it easy, why not take it easy?

He's an indie dev not a studio so you cannot have the same expectations for both (about quality, speed and planning : he delivers for the quality, so cut him some slack for the rest). We all get to play the game, without paying for those who can't, that alone justify waiting a bit. We're all frustrated that the update don't come sooner, but a late decent update will always be better than an half-cooked release...

And that tells a lot about how good the game is if a delay like this is enough to drive people mad, that's a sign on how hooked people are for the game, so gg dev and keep up the good work.

There is no problem if he actually updates every 2 months or whenever, the problem is that he has promised the update time and keeps delaying and postponing it, It's been happening continuously for the past few months, it makes people hope and then get disappointed.

a few weeks back, the dev made a post about taking up less work at an IRL job (the dev is some sort of computer project guy IRL), basically taking a pay cut just to focus a bit more on the game. if anything, depending on patreon actually led to lower income, just to do a hobby.

...refer to the guide for unlocking more pics. I believe its legit fun to do multiple playthrus intead of using like a gallery unlocker.

it would be more bearable if there was a rollback or undo button, as making multiple save files for every decision branch can become tiring after a while for just 1 or 2 pics. supposedly, the dev is planning on adding such a rollback function.

this seems like one benefit of NOT being a patron to a project or game. whereas giving money to a dev gives the donor skin in the game and will probably huff the copium due to sunk cost fallacy, the non-paying public majority can easily critic a game in a more unbiased way because the public has to be convinced that the game is good, not just pretend that it's good because they paid for it.

I'm not saying that it pays more for him to quit his day job, of course it doesn't, I'm saying that once he built up a good number of monthly subscribers, he is incentivized to keep the gravy train going for longer. If he didn't think he expected to have a solid income from it, I don't think he would've quit his day job.
