but i am also saying there are two glaring hole plots

1. be more lewd /= start loving blackmail and your blackmailer

a sensible lovers to happy path would mean teaming up to take down matt while getting lewd with everyone else

2. this is beyond dense - someone this dumb would need home health care

not my kink so im only learning the tropes but its hard to believe that a person this dumb exists

No, the MC doesn't hear the sounds. That much has been confirmed by Nosy. And, all of these are tools for the player to interact with the story in a way that's mostly unavailable for the MC. At least not the same way we experience it. Maybe it could have been explained better, or the dev could explicitly say at some point just how much the MC knows. I think that, if it isn't clear yet then it could be for a reason. The game is still being developed, after all.

seems that richard is acting an enabler of the mc's denial

Then emotes is a typo and it should be "emotions". It's pretty explicit it sends him just basic physiological data not unlike we can measure today, IRL, just without the nanobots. We don't have mind reading technology that converts thoughts into pink text cell phone message form either.

1. heart rate is indeed a physical reaction

2. emotes may or may not be a typo but i don't think it is - it's a variant of emoji

so it sends you emoji level info - eggplant, water, peach - "so big" "too rough" "swallow"

3. (since you know it was a list of three things) moods "you bastard - anger" "someone might walk in - fear"


it translates as well - that's why the matt's words are unclear in the early texts

Firstly, no offense taken, don't worry. I didn't even see the earlier version if that helps you feel better. I'm not going to get upset from a random person online (no offense).
Yes the nanobots are emotion amplifiers, but I am reasonably certain the dev has said that the pink text is for the player, not the MC. I could be misremembering.
As far as what MC and Richard are talking about, despite only playing it a few days ago I swear they all blend together, I was under the impression that all of MC's hand-wringing was mostly about their safety. He put nano-machines in his gf, then Richard comes by and says "bro, I got an update for these things! Let's do it!"

But let's assume it's as you say and we do in fact canonically see sex count go up, cheating count go up, etc.
From MC's perspective: Richard himself is telling him the bots are still screwy, he trusts his gf, has regular communication with her, and she's not acting any differently. And then he finds out the code is actually AI written too lol.
The few times he asks directly if there's anything bothering her he's waved away, so really what can he do, break out in a fit of paranoia, shout at her "I know you're cheating on me!?" and then be forced to just accept it when she denies it vs. risk breaking up with her? "But the nanobots I secretly drugged you with, that I'm also spying on you with via my friend's illegal activities, say you are?!"

i think that would the start of a good story - not saying but realizing it

the dev is going to tell the story he wants but i like swinging stories more than cheating stories so prefer self aware mc's . . .


if the mc used the nanobots to repair his brain damage he and the richard could start collaborating on way to bring down matt. sam knows what is going on and she could collaborate (and on lover's path she essentially takes liz' place)

the weird thing about the leaked texts is that they tell the mc the story but he doesn't do anything with that knowledge

"huh, so someone is being blackmailed by her boss"

"huh so the boss is forcing her into sexual situations"

"huh the forum has the very same story"

"huh, that account keeps uploading things from an office environment - she looks angry"

i mean come we all solved harder puzzles in daycare - its 4 pieces you put them together!

so he could say to liz "hey i got these hacked chats" - "hey look at this porn account"

and then

i'm not angry (lovers path) or "i'm not upset - i think its hot" (happy path) "i'm feel humiliated but i know why you need to do it" (cuck path)

and then the four work against matt, have lots of sex while doing that, invite even more people into the swinging circle and everyone gets pics

if the dev said the mc doesn't recieve the purple text the dev needs to clean up the text in his story because everything in text says they do

if you are right i suspect that there was story revision at some point

or the dev is doing what the director of "the room" did - responding to criticism by pretending that the flaws aren't right there for everyone to see

but if this is a 'mistake' that people make time and time again could the problem be with the game and not everyone else?

maybe maaaybe the text of the game contradicts what the dev is saying?

(if the dev did say it - no one has shown me quotes from dev)

i know this means believing that a porn game script could have problems
