Since when a customer become responsible of ones paycheck, that is the responsible of the employer, LMAO.
And for that subject, there is a misunderstanding about our status for the dev... We are in fact not customers. Customers are the people here to buy/obtain the finished product and so, they would have to pay only once.
But that's not the case for many people here, since we do not even buy the game and instead download it here.
And for any one on Patreon... Well they're no customers either ; by staying close to the analogy, they're closer to investors.
They saw a project in which they're interested and they funded a part of it to see it come to fruition. That does not mean that they have any right about directing the game of course, all they are able to get is the counterparts of their Patreon subs (access to the Discord, exclusive news, etc.)
If you go buy some bread, does that give you credit to demand that the baker modifies its recipe ? No.
By the same rule, you have no right to demand something from the dev : you can suggest your ideas sure, but if they are ignored... That's absolutely normal. You are still free to create your own game if you cannot be satisfied otherwise.
If you are interested in the project, you can participate by helping the dev sure, but doing so does not give you any control over the project or the way the dev works. If you are not interested, well Internet is big enough for you to go elsewhere, or just be patient because the dev will let you play the game even if you did not pay him anyway.
And for the dev, many of us who aren't professionnal ragebaiters like your game very much, and wish only to see you continue with the great work! So good luck with it, we'll be eagerly watching and playing!
(Sorry if it's hard to understand, I'm not English)
