Subtlety works in literary betrayal - but netorare’s high isn’t mystery, it’s helplessness. It brings more dimension to the story, as opposed to just seeing one singular dude doing fuck all to breed Romeo's Juliet...
Aah, i see. Appreciate the astute response. I admit i have a feeling all along that i may have misunderstood the genre altogether.Subtlety works in literary betrayal - but netorare’s high isn’t mystery, it’s helplessness.
Because they're not 'attractive' to NTR?So i'm quite curious:
According to your views, why aren't we seeing more female Love Interest in Netorare works act and carry themselves just like the adulterous female MC in western-style VNs/games?
For me it's a good question actually. I feel like it's just because i happen to demand a higher standard of "believeability" for my own entertainment. Why reference real life or reality at all with this kink?
Yes, that's exactly it; agency on the Love Interest's part. Yes i do not enjoy seeing the woman just helplessly submit to the agency of the antagonist. Although i don't necessarily despise the premise of an agency-having antagonist; i would like it more if the woman herself, out of her own agency, starts to open up to the idea of an affair before the fucking starts (as opposed to the idea that just the good dicking itself is what changes her).Reading your other responses, you seem to want more 'agency' on the woman's part and 'realism', which is a fair thing to ask for, except that most JP stories don't really do that. It's masturbation material, not literature
Yeah, i guess. Though i'm curious, why do you guys find that "unattractive" particularly?Because they're not 'attractive' to NTR?
There's a reason why most NTR's targets have been 'pure' girls..
So, let me clarify, you want fiction about a woman's infidelity or even breaking bad into a slut, with emphasis not on any villain, but rather the corruptive influence of the modern urban culture: peer pressure, priorities and values. So that leave's me with another question: how popular is this "kink" of mine really then? And how can i scour for those similar works? Since apparently i'm not supposed to look for them here
I guess yes, but fuck manSo, let me clarify, you want fiction about women infidelity or even breaking bad into a slut, with emphasis not on any villain, but rather the corruptive influence of the modern urban culture: peer pressure, priorities and values.
But an important notice, you want to read that not from female perspective, 'cause you don't want to empathize with the glorified slut, and you'd prefer some mystery.
Essentially, you'd want a "red pill" story about a woman wasting away and spoiling herself.

Star Knightess Aura is most fitting this point, but again, Female Protagonist. The game goes in 3 parts, in a loop:I want the author to portray that she's just assimilating to the culture and "being just like other girls"
Thanks for taking the time (and patience) to tailor this rec for me. Art's more than decent (for me) too. I'll take your word for it and give this an honest tryStar Knightess Aura is most fitting this point, but again, Female Protagonist. The game is going in 3 parts:
The work with "assimilating" and mocking the corruptive tropes of the modern culture is the most thorough and well-made there, better than anywhere else. You might be interested to try it just for this point.
- you're playing FMC fantasy-isekai, more and more slutty - kinda during her sleep in the modern world
- you're playing as an evil spirit in her mind, slowly working with her priorities, values and so on
- kinetic shorts about what happens in her school, where she's slowly turning from a strict nerd to a promiscuous bimbo
In my opinion, noare we to trust the thread ratings on NTR games?
Sometimes, but I don't think that's my case... Usually in my case I get bad reviews just because the person didn't like something in the game... Like, for a personal reason... In the sense of "I don't like the big proportions"... And that's something very, very personal, it's not something bad about the game... And in this way there are a lot of people like this... I had a lot of people making multiple accounts just to give 1 star to one or to all my games to lower the rating because they didn't like the game... It's sad, but usually moderators make a good work resolving thisAre the ratings usually soiled by the anti-NTR brigades?
This is the way how I see it, so others might disagree. The whole shtick of the kink, at least for the majority of what I can see from the fans, is a pure and fiercely loyal heroine's fall and corruption. That, in itself, is already unrealistic and a contradictory. An actual loyal partner would not cheat nor get corrupted that easily. For me it's a good question actually. I feel like it's just because i happen to demand a higher standard of "believeability" for my own entertainment.
I think in one of my older post, i admit that i was able to better receive the story of NTR VNs/games set in a fantasy world altogether, as opposed to those which try to portray an urban life (which i perceive to be an attempt at realism).
I would absolutely love your Tifa game if it were not because of the proportions. That detail makes me not enjoy it, no matter how good is writing and so onIn my opinion, no

Or course there are other saying justified things that they find bad
In general, I really most normally don't give attention to ratings when playing a game because I want to have my own experience in something if a game catches my attention. I read ratings usually after playing a game because I am curious... I am not too demanding in terms of NTR games, I play all kinds of them and I think I have played all of what is on this site
In a way, i too don't like that i need to be this particular with my pursuit of gratification. I wish to be satisfied with less. But in terms of time and effort, i feel like not everyone can be exemplarily devoted to the art like yourself. At the end of the day, i too just want to nut first and foremostIn general, I really most normally don't give attention to ratings when playing a game because I want to have my own experience in something if a game catches my attention. It's fine man, it's just personal preference... I wholeheartedly agree. But in the sense that the girl's loyalty is not represented as plainly as just a supernatural immunity to arousal altogether; the testament to her faithfulness is in her hyper-aware action of distancing from/avoiding anything that might brew into depravity at the first sight. But nonetheless, i agree and share the sentiment. This is the way how I see it, so others might disagree. Yes it makes sense for me too. But i guess there is still a great deal of subjectivity when it comes to defining what is "authentic". And i guess for me personally, i'm very inclined to refer to real life (or at least my understanding thereof) when it comes to determining authenticity.Yes, I kind of understand the need for "believability" but for different reasons. I want a certain "believability" when it comes to the reasoning as to why the partner would even entertain such an ordeal, but I would not demand the setting to be nearly realistic. I just want it to feel authentic. If that makes sense.
Apologies. I already got my recs for the day, so i'll stop being a bother... for today.Me watching this whole conversation unfold:

If you’re looking for an NTR where the heroine isn’t really coerced and kind of falls on her own then I recommend The Edge Of by HangoverCat.I wholeheartedly agree. Although note that i am actually open to a Netorare storyline in which the singular male antagonist is authentically a master manipulator who doesn't come across as someone pathetically obsessive. And for me, the greatest manipulator is someone who can convince their subject that the choice they are making is entirely theirs. That is, with minimally resorting to coercion. So with this premise, it aligns with my demand that the apparent unfolding of the corruption is that the once faithful girlfriend "changes on her own".
I haven't came across VNs/games which managed to pull this off, but maybe it's just due to my relatively narrow (compared to some connoisseurs here) library and knowledge of the NTR scene. I know such must exist, and i can attest that there are more than a handful of VNs/games i played that are approaching it. But for me, none have done it masterfully enough to scratch the itch. An i'd love for you guys to direct me to it.

I've actually skimmed that one. It's the one where the dude screwing the girlfriend all along was the guy that the MC asked for help investigating, right? I actually forgot how exactly the girl fell, which is to be expected from me just skimming the scenes. Great visuals tho, and the artstyle got even better in his later game (A Promise Best Left Unkept). If you’re looking for an NTR where the heroine isn’t really coerced and kind of falls on her own then I recommend The Edge Of by HangoverCat.
Ah, yes thanks for the reminder. Some time ago i did stumble upon another megathread/discussion thread where the OP outlined the technicalities of NTR classifications. I thought the thread in question is this very thread, but i discovered just now that i misremembered.By the way this style of NTR is called type A. Type B is when the heroine is blackmailed/coerced.
