So glad I dropped this series early on. That would have pisse dme off. I read romance manga to see the actual romance happen. I like NTR in my porn only, lol.

My money's on the sequel series having her with kids and trying to win him back, lolol.

I was interested in that series but never got to reading it. I remember thinking about a romance born from a prostitute and a client and I imagined all the drama that could come from the 2 different lifestyles. I also liked that it looked like a harem when more and more girls started popping out. look like it was wasted potential.

how come the only good prostitute + high society romance that gets executed well usually comes from period drama of samurais and geisha.

anyone that read the rent a girlfriend series would be kind enough to give me a breakdown of the story with the high and lows I do not mind spoilers and I doubt I would read it. but I at least want to know what do people find funny about it. and what made them stay.

also what happened to the other girls? did he put them down in previous chapters until he only got the cuck ending?

My thoughts on Yor:
- Typical ntr blackmail wouldn't work on Yor I imagine. She would kill whoever that was in 5s.
- Drugging then assault Yor may works but also very short, no sense of progression. This can only be a short doujin at best.
- A game where she must coldly use her advantages to approach her targets like Nuko Majin game? Could be worth exploring.
- Dumbing down character to follow generic ntr plot? Hell nah, would not touch that with a long stick.
My guess would be going on a mission with someone else. Having to pretend they are a couple for the mission etc. A lot of ntr could be "there are greater things at stake", considering the war and all. Definitely not empty. But from what I read people associate it with warm family values too much, which I guess hampers the sexiness.

Frankly sword art online is the best setting, since the story is pretty generic, everybody hates kirito and asuna is the perfect "perfect heroine" to get corrupted.

I can't get why a lot want a spy x family ntr game if the complete plot didn't worked for that in a good way (or not at least in the way I see in pixiv or some arts), like bruh yor and loid aren't romantically involved wheres the sense of loss in that? maybe if you pair loid with the white hair girl could work as BSS the same with yor x yuri, but the yor x loid is non existent, they do not care in that much for each other beside the façade, so in the end its like seeing two actors faking some ntr plot imo
Its pretty obvious they are into each other and they live together like husband and wife. Are you one of those people who needs a marriage certificate for NTR to work?

On Konosuba, I almost feel the same way, except Aqua being dumb is hot, shout out to all the dumb dumbs out there. NTR wise, the main problem is Kazuma. If the MC doesn't really care then isn't it just typical sexcapades? It's tough to think of him being suprised that the idiot got coerced into sex, and the slutty girl was a slut. The only somewhat viable one seems to be Megumin....but hear me out: Reverse NTR would go harder.

True, we have way too few reverse ntr games.

Ima, Kanojo wa Real Time NTR Monogatari (RJ01400362)
Requires JP VPN since it's blocked on EN DLsite.

Played some more of this, and it’s more frustrating than I thought. The false expectations are just… annoying.
H-scenes are hot though. If you don't care for plot or gameplay, the H-scenes are worth since they're voiced and she's cute.
Will post more detailed write-up later.

My JP VPN is not working for some reason. Tried multiple IPs. Did they start cracking down on vpn?

I don't like reading romcoms, but from what I see, people start reading a manga called 'Rent a Girl' and then get a completely true and real experience of relationships with a Rented Girl. I would say it makes sense. Lmao
this is unironically true, but the whole cuck part is a bit much. that's just how real life is and this manga just imitated reality. i must give it to the author for blackpilling all the simps xD

I don't know full context of the cuck part. But when you try to build a relationship with an escort or a parasocial relationship with some OF model. They use and exploit you as a matter of course and people start to go crazy, including because of sexual dissatisfaction. I haven't read this manga, but it looks like reality check haha. Perhaps this manga will be an eye-opener for some.

the problem of the rent a girlfriend comment of a "reality check" is that the genre is a Rom com, romantic comedy as in romanticism, in romanticism you lean towards a fantastic reality, stories are about 1 guy beating a dragon. and the silent boy getting the whore girl. because everything there is romanticized.

I would accept a reality ending if the genre was some sort of seinen drama. hell I read a lot of dramas. dramas about broken families, dramas about couples breaking up. trying to get together and failing.

but rent a girlfriend was about cute girls or at least that is how it looked like. I never got to read it. Imagine writing a fantasy story about the guy rescuing the princess in the castle and it turns out the girl is half eaten and the dragon burns the knight to a crisp. and then see a comment in a forum about how that is a reality check. man the genre defines the reality of the fiction.

is not a good Seinen drama, it is a shity romcom.

I wish there was a spoilerish youtube video telling me why it was shit. because I am curious but I am never reading it.

Not meaning to cut into RaG talk, but I had a general thought / question that I'd be interested in other folks' take on: do people feel like NTR is a genre that's particularly divisive within its fanbase?

To clarify on that, I specifically do *not* mean the fact that people tend to either love or despise NTR in general; I feel like that's well established. What I mean is that, even within the group of folk that all self-idenitfy as NTR fans, opinions on whether something is a good or bad NTR game / doujin / whatever seem like they can vary wildly.

As an example, and what got me thinking about this: recent chat here got me checking out the thread for the SAO NTR game, and in particular reading through the reviews. One common theme I noticed throughout the 4 and 5 star reviews was people praising the game for the well done, slow burn fall / corruption of the heroine. But then, I realized there was also a common theme throughout the 1 and 2 star reviews: dragging the game for unrealistic-even-by-NTR-standards corruption, where the heroine basically falls from the very start. This is for the same game! Those are literally polar opposites, they cannot both be true!

I don't want to make this about that game specifically; that was the example that pulled this to mind, but I've definitely noticed a similar trend in other games on here. Do others feel like they've noticed this? Do folk feel like it's just the same level of personal opinion and disagreement you'd find for anything, or is there something in particular about NTR that leads to such wildly different takes?

Rent a girlfriend :cautious: Honestly how this manga is almost 400 chapters and how is still going is beyond me.

I don't know full context of the cuck part. But when you try to build a relationship with an escort or a parasocial relationship with some OF model. They use and exploit you as a matter of course and people start to go crazy, including because of sexual dissatisfaction. I haven't read this manga, but it looks like reality check haha. Basicly the main lead Kazuya had a boner in a public pool because he was thinking about the female lead being boned by another man(ch 218 for those that are curious),a fellow actor she knows but which she turned down saying that there is someone she likes(she likes the main lead)
Dropped the manga around this arc because at that point were 0 progression after hundreds of chapters .
Reality check or not i need some kind of progression to happen in story but if there isnt one than is wasted time.

Cuckuya from the first chapter has remained almost the same(except for a few rare sprinkles of rationality here and there) with behaviors bordering parasocial but somehow he had several chances with other girls which were rejected later on(yeah i know is a harem manga so thats expected).
Chizuru is always indecisive about what to do with Cuckuya and when she ghosted the main lead for 3 months because she was starting to feeling something for him was peak stupidity.
All in all both are toxic and not a good couple.

The most recent chapter there seems to be another stalling situation considering how she is not rejecting the dude.
Wish she did so that the male lead could move on but aka this manga is know for this back and forth.
btw This is a tactic that the author has always employed as to milk this series as much as he can since he knows he got lucky.
