Frankly its mainly since its a fresh setting, also I read a lot of xianxia. I always preferred the long leg tall-ish slender builds, which is what a lot of chinese women are depicted as. Then you have overall the different outfits etc, I really like chinese dresses - those are used in some games, but it doesnt really hit when its not the slender build but the usual japanese hourglass figure they use in all hentai.

Then you have fun stuff like dual cultivation, sects, clans, the master-disciple dynamic. There is just a lot of stuff you can do with it. I also just generally like how those worlds "look". That chinese fantasy look just has something to it that I dig.

Those pictures you posted are pretty nice. Do they have continuance? :p

Anyway for specific scenarios. Pure childhood friend forced into a dual cultivation with an old cultivator practicing demonic arts in order to become stronger and help her childhood love.

You already kinda nailed the master-disciple thing. Maybe having another disciple who takes advantage of the master - after she is wounded/hit by aphrodisiac.

Cultivator clan needs help from a powerful cultivator in order to stave off disaster. The cultivator has his way with the women of MCs clan/family.

MC and his childhood friend come under the same male master. He seems nice but ends up taking his childhood love from him. Be it coercion or just being more powerful and better at everything. Taking advantage of her just out of sight during training etc.

What would you say would be the best way to show scenes. For a game like rainmonster where the NTR is hidden and not found out by the MC, wouldn't showing scenes from the heroine POV be the only option?
Or do you mean something like the protagonist is there but since its behind a wall or smth so he doesnt see it?
Also would love some games(examples) where they did it in a more innovative way. Also how important is pixel animation for you guys. Its really expensive(in terms of time) to make pixel animations AND cgs :cry: . Afaik very few games have both.
I would love if routes were active along with the investigation gameplay and you'd have to choose to be constantly monitoring FMC and lose time for investigation or risk her getting corrupted while you are looking for clues. As a mystery NTR fan I don't like watching plot through FMC pov as it takes away the mystery aspect. Unfortunately the only NTR mystery elements this game offers is sounds behind doors and not animated sprites standing together in some hidden areas. I understand it takes time and recourses to make animated sprites but instead they could at least offer more Voyeurism events. But what I got through playing two routes is that most of the time you can only see some hidden dialogue and sounds...
Personally I like POV where we can see what's going on behind doors while MC can't but considering the absence of animated sprites this perspective feels unsatisfying.
I guess the most satisfying examples for me is those games with standalone FMCs picture on side showing her current activity like My Girlfriend Advanced to Dancer Class and Gentle Girl Escape 1-3.

There are some scenes. The dev used it well kinda obscuring whether its the mother or the daughter. One of the scenes is through the bathroom glass for example, where you cant tell through steam whats happening. So there definitely isnt 0, just not as much as I would have wanted.

I imo like it when its "obvious" to the player, but the MC is dumb or is supposed to see it a bit worse than the player is. So you get the actual scene in recollection, the player hidden ntr where you can see silhouettes etc (and its obvious its the heroine) and then kinda having the MC just be "near" that, but not being able to see it directly. For example a window that you, the player can see through the "shot", but MC is at an angle where he cant.

It isn't 3D CG, but I cannot recommend enough to people Summer Stolen Paradise! (SSP) It has both 2DCGs and Sprite animation in the background during free roams and events, and I think the dev does well in presenting hidden NTR in a variety of ways inspired from other games. It does not rely on just CGs to show the NTR, it's just present in the minigames, the events, the free roams; it's to me an all-in-one.

I think taking from this, I would overhaul their 'gameplay' system in RainMonster because it's definitely lackluster and there for filler; finding ghost cats and building reputation isn't entertaining for me and doesn't build up the feeling of NTR. I've done like the Beach Bar one, and I think you can emulate the same mechanic from SSP; CCTV of her being groped while you complete some basic minigames, and it evolves as you finish each time you take this event or a certain threshold of reputation.

Their day/night system is also a frustrating mechanic, especially when you're locked into a route and you're just skipping time/days to reach the next CG. I would attribute to the lack of things to do during this time, as well as no incentives of doing anything else. I remember that underwhelming NTR Hunter had a system of doing minigames to earn currency to buy scenes during freeroam which was nice, it could have that kind of system.

I would also criticize the art of the characters and the story of RainMonster (though I liked the childhood event), but that's just a matter of preference. In the end, it became another CG viewer to me and not a 'game' per se, and I hope the JP devs actually have some sort of eureka moments if they try out some western games.
