Its a popular opinion and also a wrong one. Its just a bad name since most of female protagonist games with "ntr" just have the boyfriend "exist", and then just whore the fem protag, rather than focusing on the ntr itself.

You definitely can have good female protagonist ntr games. It just scratches a different itch compared to normal male protgaonist netorare. It has the same nature as comparing netorare to netori... it all boils down to whether the story focuses on cheating, or if its just "by the way, she's cheating".

Games like Alansya Chronicles are a good example for female protagonist ntr done right. I guess something like curse of kubel could also qualify. There just arent too many of them, since the games usually just focus on other stuff, rather than the cheating, with author jamming that ntr tag there just to up sales.


Some example of what a good female protagonist ntr should include (in high quantities):
- husband/boyfriend should be an active part of the story, not some noname we just heard about
- cheating should be the theme of heroine corruption. The fact she is cheating and how its wrong should be stated both by her and her corruptor. There should be inner turmoil. It should be described during sex. Like comparing lover to corruptor etc.
- a lot of sex scenes should be your classic "mystery ntr" sex scenes, with heroine cheating on loved one while they are in the same room, in a room right next to them, half opened door... you know the schtick

- the culmination of the story should again be cheating related. Like having the loved one raise kids that arent his etc


When you look at most of the ntr tagged female protagonist games on dlsite, majority of them dont fulfill a single one of those requirements.

I think PoV does not change a tag, is just that most people do some corruption and call it NTR because 2 lines mentioned she had a boyfriend. but you can have some NTR from the pov of the female. a lot of ANIM.teamMM games are like that.

Any recommendations for NTR games that involve voyeurism/needing to run around to find the girl cheating/Mystery NTR? e.g Scars of Summer, NTR Knight, Kegani Laboratory games, Armored Suit Solgante, My Girlfriend Advanced to the Dancer Class and Buffs Everybody. The use of the phone in Scars of Summer where you can slightly hear what's happening and have to run around to stumble on her getting fucked senselessly(sometimes without the MC even knowing) is top tier and I've been trying to chase games like that ever since. I know Castella is coming out with his new game next month but I'm curious if anyone here has any other suggestions.

There're lots of female protag games with very thorough corruption, but fmc games are not "real ntr", right? Anyway, the most prominent ones:
As for male protag game, well the classics. The corruption of the main girl is quite slow, right? Step by step.
As for vns, well, for example
