combat sex is great when done right. authors don't really pull it off very well though. it's almost always some teasing/gropes or unrealistic sex maybe. they don't create situations where your character is injured heavily or close to dying from it due to the females neglecting you.
you haven't seen a story where the mother is in the adventure party but fails to cast a spell so her son is injured heavily then the mother teams up with playboy in the party to gaslight the son it was his fault. you could involve stealing power from the protagonist gradually giving it to the antagonist. you invent scenarios like spells require two people to cast to give an excuse for the antagonist to be intimate with the females. have the girls start questioning the protagonist capability to lead the party and start suggesting the antagonist should be the leader. combat is mostly an afterthought instead of a critical part of the story like it could be.
combat should be about getting strong for revenge against antagonist or about sabotaging the protagonist
