Is it possible to add a game to steam without having to have an editor, I've seen that critical bliss put many buts on several games, is it possible to upload a game in steam ignoring he/she opinion?

I only have a short wishlist on Steam, and now that they post something like that, then yeah it's off from my wishlist. Who the F care about Euro/American art style change??? F THAT! Damn how much ignorant is the dev that he had to change the art style while most of their potential buyer doesn't request that and more concern about bug fix and release date?? The only reason we want to buy the Steam version is the uncensored graphic and quality official translation. THAT'S IT!! Who care about art style change?? I never request that and I happily remove the game from my wishlist. You won't see a penny from me.

Hi everyone, it has been some time since the last update news.
I would like to update the progress on the steam version and also the dlsite version. (including versions on the other platforms)

-. Steam version would be on quarter 4 2023. Initially we plan to release the steam version at Quarter 2 to 3. However, our publisher has a high standard on the game quality and would need to make some changes(including visually and programming-side). Some of the art assets will be redrawn to better target most of the potential players on steam, which means the game arts will look slightly different on steam(in my own opinion it is going to be more Europe-American style drawing, but please do not quote me on this).
Potential changes include the CGs(the redrawing will make them more consistant), some of the pixel art animations(to look more smooth) and also the programming engine(game might be reprogrammed in godot so that the game size could be way smaller). This is a very bold decision and I have been negotiating with the publihser for a few months regarding this. At the end, I would like to give it a try since our publihser is way more experienced than us in game production and also it could make this game more polished than the current version, which means it would bring a much better game experience to our players. The current deadline for these changes is December 2023.

-. Dlsite version is supposed to be released in June, but there are a lot of translation and voice recording going on at the moment. Therefore, we would have to take some more time. A potential release date is in July though the actual date could vary a bit.

We understand this news could be frustrating and we are sorry again for the delay.

I don't know It is stupidity or lack of information, or something else, but it becomes annoying. I understand that to release the game on steam they need to cut some things, case law and some other shit. But then give us the opportunity to get this cut shit back via patch or something like that. And art changes needed to be specified, exactly what and where was cut. And release delays...

I don't know It is stupidity or lack of information, or something else, but it becomes annoying. It was ultimately the dev who approved the changes but it was suggestion from the partners he choose so it would be smart to listen. It is like hiring a realtor and not listening when they suggest you remodel your house before sell. Not happy with or defending the decision but at least direct the angry to proper party.

As I said it was the dev who approved the changes so he should be blamed for prioritizing his publisher requests instead of his backers and current customers. But it was publisher wanted the change. The publisher should be knowledge expert and know what is best. Blame the publisher the changes and the dev for not being skilled and confident enough to not follow the supposed expert's advice.

A good move from the developer would be to post examples of art changes at the same time with these news, so everyone could see it themselves, not like "You know, we decided to change art btw, but we would show you examples. Someday, yes". It's a failed marketing

I was 100% sure that i would buy this game on steam, but now, now I'm not sure if I will buy it on dlsite either. (It's ~40%) He could throw his ambitions away and do something about this situation. I know that developing a game is not easy. But this is not Cyberpunk, or Starfield with a lot of ground to cover. And he decided to rework the whole game. This is bullshit.

This is just sad and very disappointing tbh. Been looking forward for the finished/uncensored version for a long time only to receive constant news of delays/reworks despite that the initial versions look great already. Not looking forward to the "western art style" change they plan to implement. Sucks for the people who have been supporting this dev since day 1 only to get cucked.

The thing is that I really liked the "trial" version of the game. And when I see a game of this quality, it is natural for me to support it with some money. And this is not the first time when the devs of the games that I'm looking forward, continues to do some questionable decisions. Well, shame on me, but I'm still waiting for The Last Night to came out, somewhere deep inside me, I believe that the game is not abandoned, and someday I will play it. RIP Home free game....

Ok, I saw the post and I have some mixed feelings, the mc pixelart looking good, but we are here not for him, but for Chiho and oh boy... at first glance you think that it is an improvement, but the first have more detailed clothing on, the face is good on the new one, pendant is good too, but I personally don't like the color choices on the new one, so in overall in some aspects it is a win, and in some is an L. Also, we got some CG remastered sketches, nothing that bothers me there.
Well, it is something. But a hole half of a year to wait... and it was supposed to be today... It sweetened the bitterness of the situation, but the mood is ruined nonetheless.
