Don't be. Devs likes these mostly milk their patrons way harder than they deserve, and as with the bans we're seeing, petty as all hell.
All you need concern yourself with is how YOU feel and if you can deal with possible consequences. If you want to sympathize with the dev that's fine, but you don't HAVE any obligation to this person.

Exactly! That is why I hate the Patreon model. You can buy AAA games for less than it costs to support these milkmen and most games are never finished or have shitty endings.
Well i will wait. Regardless of the cost of the dev he is free to ask as much as he wants, that's how capitalism works, if you don't like it you go to another and cheaper dev. Then again i hope someones release it soon XD. That's how piracy works
My issue is that I bought the game on Steam for almost the same price as the current tier where it's released, but I wait longer for the updates. It's why I'm here.
I don't get how one can get banned and no longer be able to buy the game if they leak it. Can't they just create another Patreon account with another email? If the ban is based on IP, then won't VPN work? How is a ban scaring people from leaking lmao. Literally there are ways to counter it. It's not like this game is Nintendo company level lol.
Exactly this. Imagine being in the $25 tier. An update only comes out every two months. Meaning, in one year, you're paying $150 for a game that's only like less than one hour of content so far with all of these updates. And the updates on this game are so small that it's not even worth the time. Like 2 sex scenes and that's it per update. What a way to milk people of their money.
Payment options are blocked, too. I tried an alternate account, used my PayPal, and it wouldn't let subscribe. I was blocked a few minutes later.
Alternate payment account if possible? Another card? Unless they're a literal bigwig who's making porn games for fun (in which case I don't think they'd care about content leaking--they have far bigger fish to fry), they can't track you right back to your money, right? If they're directly tracking your bank account or something similar I think it's time for legal action.
I really hope something works, because my respect for this dev (and their team) just dropped another few pegs.
I have to give some respect for devs who willingly share their content, or at least give silent approval to sharing. No matter how bad they or their content may be (barring extreme cases) they at least refrain from this shit.
Edit: oh, and if something actually works, you should probably take steps to ensure you aren't locked out again.
Unfortunately, I only have one card and one paypal, and I'm not comfortable opening aother account ti send money to just to get around a blocking paywall. Even when I do, my accounts, both Patreon and Paypal, will be blocked because I can guarantee that there's a tracker with the copy of the game I would get.

It's all good. You're already a hero for leaking out a version of the game. We can all just wait until someone leaks it or until it reaches the $5 tier, which I do hope someone leaks it before by then haha.
