Personally, I don’t turn on the light when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night because it messes with my eyes’ adjustment to the dark. Most people I know are the same. I’m not trying to argue that this makes the scene perfectly realistic, just offering some context for why I designed it that way.

As for the characters' behavior, I’ve mentioned before that I intentionally tried to avoid making either Cristine or Blake too active at this stage. I still want to portray them as, at least on the surface, a decent girlfriend and a decent friend. I know some players may already feel that line has been crossed, but I believe things would feel even worse if either of them acted with full awareness and initiative this early on.
