Start a new game and then don't save the priestess at the beginning.

This update was definitely not worth the wait either way.

I had the same issue, I just reloaded a save before that and didn't hold enter or left-click to speed things up and then it worked fine. Just when you get that "5 minutes earlier" text or whatever it is, just let it go at normal speed. And if it still doesn't work then eh, at least that's what fixed it for me, I dunno.
