VN - Ren'Py - Nudist College [v0.19] [Elsa]

I started this VN somewhere around release 0.06 or 0.07 and am writing this after completing through release v0.19.

I want to love this VN, but I kind of love/hate it.

The models are wonderful and there are some great personalities attributed to the LIs. If not for them, I'd be knocking this down one more star.

At the start, the story, while odd, seemed good and was holding together okay, but then came the revisions, rewrites and, ultimately, the Steam conversion process. Each time something retroactive has occurred, a new play through was required - either because old saves were broken or new content was added to an earlier point in the VN. Some of the changes really weren't needed (prior to the Steam thing), but were just "oh, I should have done this" kinds of things that really weren't necessary, but in some instances just became distractions to the story, adding some action, but no real substance from a story perspective.

One such change that happened was the introduction of Luna somewhere around v0.10 or v0.11 - she's a retroactive add all the way back to day 1 and following, that gave a few scenes in the earlier parts of the VN, but that seems to have no continuing contribution other than being another lewd scene opportunity for the early part of the VN. This inconsistency and disjointedness, though, is a bit "consistent" with the disconnectedness of the story otherwise - things happen that should be significant in a real world relationship, but after they happen, there are no repercussions or even mentions of them afterwards. One scathing example is an episode I've named "Duelling Drunk Hoes".

The set up is that Olivia runs away from home and seeks refuge living with Lena and MC. Lena suddenly become "miss jealousy" and Olivia falls into the "jealous pool" as well - these are actions very inconsistent with the behavioral characteristics previously displayed for the two LIs. In one path, MC goes out with Lena, but then Olivia shows up at the club after initially saying she wanted to stay in. The girls try to drink each other under the table, end up back home, and do competitive naked lap dancing, end things with a blow job (maybe it was just a handy), then collapse naked on a bed together, passed out drunk. While it seems there would be a little bit of fall out, or at least an acknowledgement that it happened, we get "The Next Day" and there's no indication that anything even occurred.

While that is (in my opinion) the most egregious example, the entire latter half of the VN to this point seems to be just disjointed set ups to the next sex scene. The various LIs go from having one personality type (often reserved and a little shy) to being raging nymphos craving MC cock and cum. One of the LIs truly despises the MC, but still calls on him to be her beard for a date and ends up in a four way with him and her two old friends - it's like the Dev is going through old issues of Forum and just picking one absurd vignette after another to drop into the VN. If you aren't into cohesive stories, then I guess this is perfect for you, but if a Dev is going to start off with a decent attempt at a story, only to abandon it to devolve into a "three words and fuck" type of scenario, that's disappointing.

Finally, while the writing has never been great, it started off like the Dev was trying to do a good English translation - you could still tell via the syntax and some of the word choices that this was being composed in Russian and then translated to English, but it was decent and better than many VNs that have the same Russian-to-English script conversion. However, instead of improving as things went along, and despite offers to help by several, the writing has gotten exponetially worse, with many name discrepancies, worsening syntax, really odd word choices and obvious editing remnants - someone wrote a line, decided to change the line, but left portions of the old line there, resulting in a complete garbage sentence. This happened a few times in the most recent releases.

As noted intitially, the LI models chosen are terrific and there is still some bit of personality differentiation between them, different body types, hairstyles, etc., and that is the main reason I'm coming back. I really hope the Dev will find someone to help with the language issues and will start tying in the pieces of the story better. I want to like this VN more, but, right now I can't.

I'm on the middle of my play through, about half way, but I want to leave a rating for what I've experienced so far, and will adjust the rating when I'm done.

This game is not perfect but I love it.

It's flawed for sure, the story seems silly but I like it this way.

No walls of text, no endless dialogs, but I don't feel the story is rushed. You're just a lucky guy caught in the middle of a silly experiment and this is just perfect for me and I'm going to pay my tribute soon to the dev if it's like this till the end.

I'm not searching for a realistic story (I experimented weirder shit in real life though), I like innocent young girls and don't like sluts, I don't have time to spend on a never ending slow burn, so this game is just perfect.

The story doesn't make much sense, a school whoring out its students for projects in exchange for a better reputation is quite a stretch and as a side effect it makes consent dubious at best given the girls don't want to be naked so having the MC interacting with them during that time feels wrong, which would be fine if you could play as a more perverted MC but here there is no choice, its nice guy all the way.

Every guy and school teachers know erections can happen at any time and for no reason at all so knowing that the idea that the MC is a pervert for getting one while around naked women as a new nudist is crazy stupid.

While you can decline some events, you cant decline any of the girls which makes this more of a kinetic novel with some optional extras, so bear in mind you will be seeing a lot of forced sex scenes with characters you might hate and there are a lot of unlikable girls.

I like this game for the concept, but someone needs to tell the dev that quantity isn't better than quality. I'm only an hour in and have gone through like ten lewd scenes already, I get what the game is about, but still. Also some of the scenes just look bad.

Cute game with a silly, but tolerable, story about a hunky Male who is accepted into an all girl College. The school is partaking in a Government funded program that selects students to participate in varying episodes of public nudity. For what reason, I do not know, but if it gets the girls to strip, I'm all for it.

The Girls are many and I found most of them to be quite attractive. Even the MC looked better than most of the Male models you see in these games.
My favorite character was Olivia, who I found quite attractive. Although it appeared to me that her breasts were changing size throughout the game. Maybe I was just mesmerized by her massive nipples.

The sex animations were basic but did not hurt the overall mood. Unfortunately, the English was broken on quite a few occasions, so I assume it is a translation, which is unfortunate. Something so simple can really hurt games like this.

It's a fun game, with cute girls. I look forward to the next adventure. Well done.

Really love the models used in this one. Linear enough story but surprising quality. Some bugs with various paths but no game breaking things. I'll keep looking forward to each release. 200 characters is an annoying amount to have to write out.

I like this game very much, first of all, I can see that the author really cares about this game, I don't know if the author is a novice, there are some problems in writing and programming, but this is harmless, I can see that the author's attitude is very sincere, but also listen to the will of the player. The girls are doing well, too. It's very satisfying

The renders are ok. Pretty much your standard Daz models. The story is meh. I feel like it's missing some tags. You don't make many choices, so it feels like a kinetic novel. You get nakedness in the school, but the sex scenes for the most part take place outside of the school. So, it may not be what you are expecting from the title. There are a few scenes where there is suddenly a guy's dick or group sex. You really only have the 5 or so love interests from the previews, so maybe it's not NTR or swinging. But it was definitely unexpected to go to a club and have to sit next to a naked Lucas. Or go to a meeting and see a bunch of dudes having sex. I just wasn't into it. I started out reading through the story. I ended up speed clicking until the government meeting scene, then gave up. It's just not my thing. I was hoping for more of a harem building type game with the girls, and the girls that get introduced throughout the game do not become love interests.

The visuals do not look that great, and the character models are outdated. The animations are just terrible. There is not enough free choice. Writing is average. There are a lot of mistakes in the script, like the MC says ill need to go to work, but then he never does. You go from event to event and there is filler content.

I don't understand why are people hating & rating it so low. Sometimes people complain 'no sex scenes at all' while sometimes they complain 'too much sex scenes'. Even in an adult VN people want proper story smh. It's like looking for logic in a porn film. If you want story go read a good storybook or just watch romantic movies. It's a porn VN, you look for porn you get porn, straight to the point.
As for me I like how the girls are constantly horny in the game and roam around naked like it isn't a very big deal.. and the best of all it has my dream setting - naked girls in a school! Allana is my fave, the fact how she's constantly horny, plus I do liked the headgirl as well very specially coz of the scene when she had sex with the MC just coz he couldn't get his erection down. It was indeed very illogical but superhot at the same time!

Nudist School 0.17

This game is primarily exhibitionism with smaller amounts of ENF, humiliation, and (sometimes) cumshots sprinkled in. If you don't have a keen interest in what it specializes in then it may not have much else for you. When you play this game you have to put all logic and knowledge aside and just go with it because everything is so utterly ridiculous. The premise is the MC gets enrolled in an all girls school that works with the government on projects and after he arrives they start these new nudist projects to promote confidence and body positivity. Different students are asked to participate in different projects where they have to be nude in front of others that play out with the girls complaining but giving in, then start out with maybe one or two girls being a bit shy/embarrassed (while the others are seemingly fine), and almost always devolve into some version of the MC getting an erection and the girls needing to help him relieve that issue quickly without others seeing. Later the story takes a turn that involves embarrassing punishments involving nudity for those not performing well academically. There are other relationships/activities that go on separately from the projects but it's mostly faux-harem where the MC can be getting it on with any number of the girls but so far the vast majority of them feel like they're happening in isolation rather than affecting other relationships or the main story in any way.

Good

+Some of the character models are pretty decent and there's just enough of a variety of body types without going too far in any direction for proportions. My main complaint if anything would be that some of the eyes are just kinda strange.

+There are a number of decently sexy/arousing situations but only if you're into what this avn is serving up (so may not be a positive for a lot of people).

+There's almost always something happening with a pattern of trying to mix up the content to get the right mix of small lulls, anticipation, and excitement.

+ While I wouldn't say the girls in this game are nuanced or well written, they all have distinct over the top personalities that make for an enjoyable dynamic when they're together. I generally liked most of the girls (some more than others) and enjoyed them frequently chiming in on things with their ranges of different opinions/reactions during the classes and other events.

Neutral

=Visuals: renders/animations are both mediocre at best. Frankly, it looks like a game started years earlier than it was. Renders vary in quality with them occasionally being too grainy but are usually just generally lacking in fidelity/detail. There's often not many renders while people are speaking so things can feel a bit too static for too long at times but it's fine. Animations are just loops of static renders rather than video files but it's likely best this way as there's nothing that needed to be in a video file and it would likely degrade the quality further. While some of the animations are pretty decent they're generally pretty simple and unimpressive. Occasionally there are issues with certain frames that make things look strange (clipping, renders that don't fit the sequence, frames that are off color or way too grainy) and speed can often be too slow or too fast. There are plenty of boobs bouncing but usually in a simple up and down in time with the animation manner (can look floaty or unnatural but better than nothing) rather than being affected by physics outside of a few exceptions. For me most of the animations are overall just on the passable side despite the mentioned issues and sometimes feeling a bit robotic.

=Choices: Choices in the game most frequently boil down to a lot of choosing if you want to see a scene or skip it. They're not all like that however as the second most frequently used choice type is one that will let you see different versions of the impending scene/event (but nothing beyond that). The problem is that it's never even remotely clear which choices will just make you skip stuff and which will lead to alternative outcomes (not to mention gallery unlocks) so unless you're looking at the code or using a mod/WT then you just have to blindly try all options. There are also, but far less frequently, certain sequences of events with certain girls that can be started/continued based on your choices. One of these chains of events plays out pretty differently based on a choice made in the first of three get-togethers but others have no such variation and just happen or don't. At a certain point in the game there's a competition for your affection by two girls that can lead to three (might be four if you manage to choose neither of them) different outcomes. It's seems like a more traditional route structure but is all contained to a small window of time with nothing else happening in between rather than playing out over the course of the game like in route-based avns. This seemed strangely out of place to me and though variables are used to remember which outcome you got they haven't been used for anything else yet. The biggest issue with the choices in the game to me was that the majority aren't tracked and rarely ever affect other parts of the game. So no matter what ridiculous thing happens one day nobody is even talking/thinking about it in class the next day. Vague thoughts come up about "I can't believe we saw each other naked," instead of specific thoughts about much more intimate things that actually took place since the game generally have a memory of your choices. Despite this point, I do personally like to be able to do as much as possible in a single playthrough with minimal saving/loading to see different versions certain events so on the whole the choices are a neutral aspect in my book. Others may have more of an issue with them however.

=There's a Gallery for unlockable special images (unlocked throughout play after choices or events) but there's no scene gallery to replay any of the events or lewd scenes in the game.

=Music can be good in certain scenes but otherwise gets pretty boring/repetitive. It's still serviceable as background music though. I don't recall there being any sounds at all.

=I'm not sure about the state of updating the school uniforms to casual attire for certain platforms (if it's continuing or not) but I've got mixed feelings. While some of the casual uniforms actually look better than the school uniforms it takes a bit of sexiness away (especially from partial nudity opportunities) and will impact quite a bit (lots to re-render and the whole thing about uniform inspections for example would need to go).

=Of the multi-girl lewd scenes there's only one that's a proper threesome with both getting in on the action at the same time. Usually in these scenes characters either take turns or are just onlookers which makes the majority of them feel like they're solo even when others are there.

=POV kissing - kissing in this game is pretty much always strangely 1st person perspective. Some this may not be bothered by this but I find it off-putting personally. It's also strange when so many other things are regularly shown in 3rd person. Only reason I'm not counting this as a negative is because I honestly don't know if it's just a personal preference thing or not.

=There's been a lack of much quality improvement since developments started. A lot of games can start rough with their visuals/writing but gradually improve over time. Just be aware this isn't really one of those games (at least not yet) so don't expect any major improvements in quality.

Bad

-Poor writing/translations with plenty of spelling, phrasing, and grammar issues. It generally ranges from bad to atrocious. This needs an editor to go through and make it more presentable. Even a simple spell-check would be a good start. Fixing those things will only help so much though as what's being being said through the writing is often pretty bad itself. The writing also tends to be very repetitive with many words or phrases being used way too frequently (get used to hearing "pervert" over and over along with many other things). All sense of time is lost by using "The Next Day" far too frequently with maybe being shown one or two things per day. Finally, while I guess it saves time and renders/writing, it can be a little odd how frequently there are short lines saying the MC did something that we neither get to witness nor have further insight into.

-There's a serious lack of build up to some of the lewd scenes. Things frequently go right to sex with a number of the girls way too quickly even if they supposedly have no experience with it previously. This is particularly a problem with the early events of the game. In the very first couple nudist projects things go fine until the MC inevitably gets hard and a girl has to help him. In these early events you'd think things would start off pretty slowly. You'd expect that maybe the MC jerks off while the girl starts out embarrassed but gets kinda turned on and starts touching herself as well or for the less shy girls they might even put on a bit of a show to help the MC. Instead what we get is going right to groping, finger-banging, being jerked off, or full on sex for the first event and for the second a blow job from one girl followed by multiple rounds of sex with a more reserved girl. I know as a guy I'm not supposed to need much foreplay but these things feel so rushed that they seem ridiculous even for this game and not as hot as they could be if there was some build up to them. It is done a bit better with certain characters that things progress slightly more gradually with over the course of the game but even they have large leaps in progress that can still seem like oddly rushing to sex out of the blue in a way that can make things less sexy than they should be. To make matters worse, stripping and partial nudity is sorely lacking. It's extremely rare to ever have anything happen that doesn't go from fully clothed to fully nude instantly. There are a few exceptions but they are few and far between. It's just not terribly sexy when the narration is saying that they're stripping and all clothing just instantly vanishes.

-Sob stories - just about every girl has one in this avn and you will have to hear about them if you want things to progress with them (sometimes even if you don't as there isn't always a choice). They've got family problems, money problems, ex-bf problems, marital problems, trauma from assault, issues since changing schools, and loved ones in the hospital. It's all poorly executed attempts at adding character depth and eliciting empathy while explaining their behavior that neither works nor matches the tone of game. Speaking of tonal issues, some of the girls will dump their sad stories on you just before a big sex scene with them which can kinda bring down the mood and cause tonal whiplash when they go from spilling their guts about something serious to instantly cheering up and deciding it's time to have sex right then and there since they now feel closer to (or safe with) the MC. There's even a scene where one of the girls is giving a monologue about her traumatic past including some form of sexual assault WHILE jerking off the MC and somehow he cums in the middle of it... what is even happening?

-Scope has started to become a problem with the number of girls and story-lines. There are story threads that start and then just don't continue (like classroom wardrobe inspections, night school, working at the bar, the streamer girl, etc.) as well as as new characters being added as things progress while some of the main characters just kinda disappear for a while after a certain point or have more limited content. I know the game is still in development (around 2.75 years, which still isn't that long for a lot of avns) but things are already getting spread so thin that content featuring a player's favorite character(s) may be extremely limited and there's a lot of hanging threads with existing storylines/girls at this point. At least one girl that has been in the game consistently since the very beginning still doesn't have any progress thus far. Hopefully the dev can resist the urge to add any more to the roster, remove some of the dead weight (Katy and Chloe could easily both be removed without affecting anything - though I might make an exception for more of "queen" Laurel since she was both hot and actually entertaining), and work with the ones we've already got.

-Lewd scenes could use more static renders and more dialogue or descriptive narration. Occasionally there's some level of writing during the animations but other times multiple animations will play in sequence without even any writing to accompany them.

-Vanishing cum. The MC cums a lot throughout the game but it can seem to vanish into thin air. Through early stages of the game when the MC cums it shows it shooting out and narrator says it went all over a body but we don't actually see that. This is improved after a certain point where you start getting proper facials and body shots shown (though the cum starts vanishing again frustratingly for a few scenes in a later episodes before it starts appearing where it's supposed to again after in even later scenes). Even then none of it ever has an effect beyond a single frame (two at most for a few scenes) and a maybe a few generic dialogue lines. Creampies are almost never shown (a couple times mostly towards the end of the current content) either and are rarely remarked on or thought about. The MC can pump multiple loads into a girl (often one that hasn't even had sex before) and it just seems to magically dissipate, it's never dwelled on in the slightest by the characters, and nothing shows or leaks out. It's all really a missed opportunity especially during events where it should be a serious issue that could get them in trouble if discovered such as certain nudist projects where the MC gets an erection problem solved by finishing inside/on one of the girls without being seen. For me it's just personally very unsatisfying when we see it shooting right towards the face/chest of a girl and then magically vanishes so we don't get to see the results.

-The poor MC has a dick that looks more like a cheap flesh colored dildo than part of a human (barely any detail to the texture). To make matters worse it can look terribly deformed in certain renders and animations. Some of his clothes (and a few worn by other male characters) have reflective properties that make them look like they're made of some kinda shiny plastic instead of fabric which is distracting.

-In a couple scenes mannequins are rendered in place of models of strangers. It's a bit strange when it happens as other scenes don't have problems with inserting random people.

Conclusion

It's not really a good game but I still enjoyed it myself. I genuinely hope this avn gets finished at a some point in a satisfying manner but there's a lot to be done to get there and the last couple episodes seemed even more rushed and sloppy than usual (in terms of writing and render/animation issues). More content is really needed with some of the existing girls and story-lines. Ultimately there will also need to be Diane (the current pseudo-antagonist) content before the story can end (hopefully with the class succeeding). Best of luck to the author and though I'll be keeping an eye on this one for further updates myself I can't say it's really anything better than average avn once I put my personal tastes aside. Give it a try if you like the the elements I described, are willing to embrace the ridiculousness, and can deal with some terrible writing, otherwise I don't know how much I'd recommend it to others.

I would rate this higher, but continuity errors are way too prevalent. If I choose not to view a scene, that scene that didn't occur shouldn't be referenced. Or, at least add the Kinetic Novel tag, as your choices don't make a bit of difference in the story.

Nudist School v0.17

It's my first time playing this game. The girls look good. The renders look good. The premise is fun. But one thing is that the cum looks horrible. The cum alone makes me want to rate this game only two or three stars. It's like white paint. I wish that the game developer would redo the cum in all the sex scenes. But other than that, it's a great game.

Hey, so this is my very first review ever. Just a heads up, English isn't my first language, so bear with me.
Nudist School? It's wild, weird, and totally out there. If you're hunting for a game with a deep story and realistic characters, you've barked up the wrong tree. That's probably why you see all those negative reviews. Players seem to expect more than what the game is designed to deliver.

Bottom line – Nudist School is a blast when you just wanna chill and not overthink stuff, But to be fair for some reviews the game really need an English proofreader or just use AI for helping for the script, And the animation needs a little bit of tinkering.
I'm tossing it a solid "4.5 out of 5" because like i said its just a FUN game.

I couldn't get into this game at all. The plot to me is just completly absurd, which in of itself I could maybe have seen past but the absolute mechanical formal dialogue makes it painful for me to read through. This type of writing almost feels like it's an attempt at getting word count rather than focusing on well rounded character development.

Story wise:
It's pretty simplistic, as a dyslectic myself I tend to mostly read past poor grammar where others have pointed it out, it does not really bother me much. Other than that the setting and plot work reasonably well, definitely not amazing but they carry the sex schenes well enough.

In terms of those scenes, they are pretty frequent without feeling to forced, works reasonably well for me.

Visually the models do look different enough from another but there is a lot of stock model use, which at some point I just have seen too often. I don't know how easy it is to make them different from another in whatever is being used here but it really detracts from the experience.

Speaking of visuals, the renders are pretty poor for this day and age, I know there are worse ones out there, especially in the past but given the state of things, I really don't think they are up to standard anymore.

The animations are even worse, stiff and get to the point I would rather not have them at all.

So in summery, it's not all terrible but really there are plenty of better games out there. I personally consider this one dropped at this point. Perhaps if this were 5 years ago, my opinion would be different but as it stands it's just not worth it.

A very successful game so far. I like the story. Even if there are sometimes grammatical errors, I can't wait to continue playing. Stay tuned and see if you can fix the grammatical errors when time allows.

there are obvious grammatical errors even someone who's not a native speaker can notice, but I love the game. the renders are beautiful and the characters interest me. so far there aren't any meaningful conflict that makes the plot more interesting. I'm looking forward to future updates and improvement.

I actually enjoy this game despite it's linear nature. The Dev says it's her first game and it shows. But still the scenes while a bit unbelievable at times are sexy. I hope the Dev keeps at it because I'm sure she will improve as she learns more and more. Oh, and the animations are actually pretty good too.
