I like that animation - the smile does it. Makes her look a bit like the 18 year old girl that she supposedly is, rather than the too serious mid-20s she comes off as so often in the VN. And now I can imagine a voice for her - 1st alto range speaking voice with a youthful lilt.

He just needs to quit making retroactive changes. I like this VN, but the constant retroactive change is driving me fucking nuts. And now half of the other mature/half finished VNs I do are also doing the Steam thing and requiring restarts. Even if I can skip most of it, many of them have elements that have to be replayed in a roam/sandbox style. There's a reason I quit doing pure sandbox VNs - they're awful.

By their first name, usually.
May add the context that we've know each other since youth, college, whatever.

Elsa94, since this was a few versions ago now, does the below warning still apply? It's still on the OP, so if it's no longer needed or useful, it probably should be removed.
If it still applies, you might want to get the text adjusted to start with something more like, "WARNING: If you load a save before v0.17, please start playing...."

I realized it, too. It happens later in some other situations too. And the MC's top looks like it is out of latex or some plastic. Nothing a student would wear in school.

Probably one of two things:
In anime with a male protagonist, the term "childhood friend" is an indication of a female of similar age who he never saw as anything but a friend but now that hormones have kicked he sees her in a different light; a corollary to that is the female friend has always been in love with the protagonist and he was too thick to realize it.
The other common use in AVNs is "childhood friend" is a sister (like "landlady" is actually the mother) to get around sites that ban incest content. That isn't likely in the context of this game.
I think more background on Lena would be good, such as MC and she lived in the same apartments/neighborhood growing up but his family moved away and now he has a chance to reconnect with her again.

In the rush to re-render everything without school uniforms a lot of visually jarring bugs/glitches were introduced.
At one point the MC starts interrogating Olivia with a floodlight from the left:
And then in class, we get to see someone with magic fishnet stockings and thigh-high boots:
(And the scene darkens. I guess the hallway light switch gremlin was at it again.)
I've obviously just started my from-scratch playthrough. I am guessing a lot of this will be fixed in 0.20 or later.
None of this is a deal breaker, just seems like it was rushed in the effort to retrofit things to comply with Steam rules.
