VN Ren'Py Nudist College [v0.19] [Elsa]

Dude! I have a degree in Linguistics and you are being quite pedantic. If something reads naturally to a native-English speaker or not is sufficient. To borrow an expression from the remake of the classic movie Sabrina, sometimes more isn't better, it's just more.

You're screaming at someone that is no longer here and won't see it. It is also someone that likely has more "book learnin'" than sense and is trying to show off that he either has a thesaurus or a "word of the day" calendar and likes to trot out the words that he thinks William F. Buckley would like.

That's also some pretty serious comment necromancy.

Finally, as far as grammar in this particular VN goes, you can tell by the construction that the writer is a native Russian (or similar Slavic) speaker, and not an English speaker. Another VN from which one of the characters was imported (Lancy, or something like that) seemed to use Google Translate to take the script from Russian to English. I will admit to not having played this since around chapter 9 or 10 because the Dev kept making changes requiring a full replay, but I'm about to get back into it, so maybe the grammar has been cleaned up as well, though the trend at the time had been deterioration, not improvement.

Hadn't played since v0.10 since a replay was required to get the new content. Finally started, and Shawnchapp's walkthrough suggests that I can do three things at the end of the first school day:

1. Go to the library
2. Go to the art room
3. Go to the park before going home

However, it seems you can only do two of those, not all three, unless I missed something earlier (maybe I wasn't supposed to talk with one of the girls in class?) the VN seems either to be designed to limit the choice to two, or there is a bug preventing all three from being chosen. If the first option, the mod would seem to be incorrect, but if the mod is correct, then there seems to be a bug. Any thoughts?

From what I remember there are lots of these in this game where you can't try all choices before it moves on. So either make a lot of saves or don't worry too much about what you may have missed I guess.

Yeah - I knew the awful dialogue and problems with continuity have nothing to do with you, and thanks for confirming the "2 out of 3".

I always do - which makes it annoying when a Dev keeps making retroactive changes, like adding characters. I last played this at v0.10, hoping the retro revisions would finally stop.

A couple things I'm seeing as I go back through the replay. I'm generally leaving grammar alone because there's too much that just gets awkward in the syntax of things going from the Dev's native tongue to English, that said...

The name change is because of Steam's rules - they tend to frown at anything school/school uniform related.

Won't do any good here, unless a mod happens to pass by.
That's one reason why there's report buttons, use the one in the first post and choose the bottom option.
But I'd change the tone ...

I'm working on a rewrite with another Dev and he also has to change references from school, to college for Steam.

About saves - I just dropped my old saves into the new game and it worked just fine.
