Fill your pockets with rocks and walk into the ocean.I'm really dumb and I cry like a little bitch.
Lets be real, the creators people bitch about are making FAR more money than simply keeping the lights on as you are saying. Because we're in the Nyl thread I'll use him as an example, his patreon says 34k a month. Even if I assume he only takes home half of that, he is hardly living on white bread and mayo in a dingy basement apartment with a single lightbulb.Y’all need to recognize that is simply how it works when you’re a singular animator. You start small, get bigger with time but that doesn’t equal longer work, it equals more time to make more detailed work.
I feel like people got spoiled with Studio FOW’s quality and production time years back, because you can’t realistically expect that level from a single artist.
The money doesn’t go into the PC to make it render faster, it keeps the bills paid and a roof over the artists’ head so they can continue what they’re already doing.
Nyl takes his time and the quality speaks for itself. They’re also decent enough to pause charges when necessary, so they’re far from a milking it artist like (unironically mentioned before) Miro.
Usurper queen. Zarya is the real futa queen.
The thing is with organizing and offloading work, you're putting your trust in others to stand for your quality. You're also effectively becoming a manager, and all on a platform that could boot you at any given moment.Lets be real, the creators people bitch about are making FAR more money than simply keeping the lights on as you are saying. While some artists, like Miro as you pointed out, are for sure just milking this I think its far more likely that these people just aren't good at being self employed as far as productivity goes. I would guess that they go through a "manic" work phase and then get burned out. Setting a more regular schedule would likely improve their work life balance as well as their productivity. I know people hate management...but these people need a supervisor. They need to be doing an analysis about hiring people to offload some of the work and if that would benefit their bottom line. AgentRedGirl is a good example of this, hired a staff and puts out a long form vid monthly or so.
I guess to be fair, most of them probably don't really care because they know that once you get to a certain level of popularity you can pretty much coast from there and people will continue to pay them.
Also, to head it off before people say it: blah blah, I know its patreon/subscribstar, your just giving them money or whatever. My take is that its a shame that people don't take the business part of this as seriously as they take their art.
And now I've become a paragraph andy on a porn pirating website, sigh.
dont forget the bleach futas4you. i stumbled upon it by accident in recent while back and didnt even know that anime existed (like at all, only watched pokemon, digimon and little of bit of GBZ, that was sync for television, but it was at 7:30 so I cpulsnt watch since I was going to school)I remember that one that video was so legendary
never met her, whos that?Usurper queen. Zarya is the real futa queen.
Yes, I understood you didn't mean just housing. But using Nyl again as an example with my 50% take home...thats over 200k. Unless these creators are living far beyond their means, money isn't the problem. As far as Patreon cutting you off, and I'm looking at this from an American perspective, that isn't any different from anyone else. Most states don't require a cause to fire you, and even if they did its pretty easy to come up with one, so patreon creators are just like the rest of us.The thing is with organizing and offloading work, you're putting your trust in others to stand for your quality. Patreon and such is too much of a rickety bridge to set up a substantial team. And as for where the money goes, I was being lenient with what it goes towards. Homes, a vehicle, insurance, food, utilities, etc. Assuming they're by themselves, its a lot, depending on where they live.
Except you're framing it as 'they're giving money, things should be in a timely manner'Yes, I understood you didn't mean just housing. I concede your point about offloading the work, not everyone wants to do that.
I think I'm just too pure for this world. I think if people are paying you for a good/service you have a responsibility to deliever it in a timely manner. Over a year on a single animation while taking breaks for other mini projects and animation challenges just ain't it.
Or you could just follow the artist's twitter and keep up that wayMan I wish this forum would split threads between content and discussion like SimpCity...
You can stop patting yourself on the back for being "pure", because you don't understand the first thing about being a creative. Creators are most definitely not like the rest of us. Being one myself my entire life since my first memories, going to school to be a "professional", having a multi-decade career as one, and volunteering as a creative director for a large un-named organisation with 500+ creative members, I do believe I can say with certainty – not one of them is like you, or a "normal" worker/business owner type. Not one.Yes, I understood you didn't mean just housing. But using Nyl again as an example with my 50% take home...thats over 200k. Overview:
It's been a little while since my last model release, and I've been getting quite a few people asking about some of my newer ones. So now seemed like a good time to fix them up and put them out there. This release is a bit different since a lot of these models haven't seen much action yet, but I plan to use them more in the future.
First off, what's in the port?
5 Models:
1. Ashe (futa)
2. Brigitte (futa)
3. Illari (female)
4. Junker Queen (futa)
5. Juno (female)
Keep in mind these models are made for Blender 4.2 or higher. Like last time, each model is in an individual packed .blend file, which means that the textures are stored in the file itself. Also like last time, the models are made using my BG3 models as a base, so a lot of the underlying technology is going to be from those. To that end, you can check outYou must be registered to see the linksas well asYou must be registered to see the linksfor more information on how the bodies and materials work.
Some of these models are new, some of the models are a little older. Ashe, Brigitte, and Juno are the most up-to-date and share the most features. Junker Queen is pretty old, despite being updated for this release. And then Illari is in between. Some of them also have a few different hairstyles and accessories.
Each .blend file comes with most of the bones keyframed for organizational purposes. For most of them, they'll have my proportional tweaks at frame 0, while keeping the bone original proportions at -10. You probably don't have to worry about that stuff though. Just keep in mind if you're going to be working with the models, make sure your keyframing is enabled. And if you want to pose without keyframes, then delete what's already there.
Like my BG3 models, you can find the IK toggles in the custom properties of the armature object. Just select the rig and navigate to properties in the 'n' menu, or in the object section of the properties panel.
And that's about it. General improvements over the last batch of models include rigging updates like x-axis mirroring, more/better drivers, material updates, etc. I'll probably be tweaking what major bugs or glitches I find soon after release, as well as adding to this post anything I've forgotten.
