It's been a little while so the time felt right for another animation challenge! This time with a bit of a spooky theme. Participants will be encouraged to incorporate horror, thriller, or Halloween themes/designs into their animations. This can be as scary or lighthearted as the artist wants - it's all in the spirit of Halloween. With those general ideas in place, I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with!
If you're not familiar with the animation challenge, here are the rules:

For 3 days, all participants are expected to create, render, and release an animation from scratch during each consecutive 24 hour time period. 3 days, 3 animations. There are no requirements for sound, software, render engine, or runtime.

I was coming to say the same thing as you guys LOL.

I'm sorry but people are silly if they think he can crank out a video with high quality animation, sound and story intros in 24 hours but it takes him a month to do one 10 second loop. That's just doesn't jive.

I think he makes a bunch of loops ahead of time and posts a little each month to keep people subbed. Kind of like how on outlook you can schedule send an email to make it look like you were at your computer when you weren't.

Sadly this people don't understand the pain of lip syncing so it can match the dialogues, the pain of mesh going out of place, etc. I can agree 2 years for a project that was supposed to be 10 min or less is too long, but even blender noobs can make a 1 sec loop and make it 10 to 15 sec long.

I wish more people would recognize the burnout aspect that artists can and probably do go through.
I imagine those (monthly) daily challenges are more manageable for Nyl than these massive projects that can take months.
I've said it before but Nyl's short vids are of such high quality anyway. I will take those over Nyl and other high quality artists burning out on huge projects.

Sometimes he finds better ways to do stuff, and sometimes he doesn't.

(the only thing that is animated is the fucking camera getting further away from the char and it has to make a centimeter more of background)

like come on guys, be patient, its literally not that hard to WAIT. its not like youre in a waiting line at a grocery store that youre "wasting time" and could be doing something else instead. naaah, you literally turn on your browser on incognito mode because yall think if theres no search history, it didnt happen, login to f95, see no one uploaded any animation on thread about nyl's work or someone elses, bitch about it, and you close it. a full 2 min TOPS.
