Nyl uses one model for his BG3 characters (well, two actually: one female, one futa), so you don't have to swap anything. Unless he removed all unneeded data, I haven't checked.By your estimation how hard would it be to swap the models for different ones by Nyl while retaining the animations? (same as you, not very experienced with blender and trying something with this file)
In any case, you can just link animation data for other models with the same rig, it takes a second. So assuming they use the same armature, you could for example insert one of his Overwatch characters (shudder).
What could potentially take a long time (and some knowledge/skill) is making adjustments for different body proportions or redoing simulations.
