I don't have the same dilemma but I would think humanoid is more close to human than beast.

The reason I haven't done that is that I'm trying to keep things very minimal because some creators have characters from all of the aforementioned types.
Elves, Fairies and Orcs all have humanoid forms, but fall heavily under the Fantasy genre. It sounds like you're categorising more by sub-type than genre, sorting by genre would be more minimal.
In fact, I do have them categorized by the creator and whether or not they're human. For example, I have 2 folders for Jackerman. One is in the section I have for humans, and the other for beasts. I used that creator as an example since all of the videos I have (such as Sadira's Blessing) from him are clear-cut, either human or beast.
Theory time maybe his computer hard crashed and he lost his gorgon project?
Nyl never said something like that. I think he just lost interest in the old models and started The Bordello just to work with some new models.
