He most likely is working on a overwatch animation on the side. Characters are made already. Maybe after he finishes his current project. Not sure about the run time though.

Anyone with access to Nyl's patreon has any clue or has read any coment concern to the resolution the videos?
I notice that Nyl is one of the few 3D artsit that dosen't make them in 4K, and I was wondering if he had a say or even if anyone has ask about it in the patreon comments.

I wasn't really into the OW stuff he put out lately but I think really that's because Tracer doesn't do much for me, Widow is alright but not my favourite. If he keeps doing OW I need to see him use those Mercy and Ana models for something.
Would also like to see his take on Ashe.

hours? doing it solo takes enormous efforts, slightly wrong expression/pose/lighting can ruin 5 sec video, and going >10 min video not easy task

I do believe the main reasons are boredom and fatigue. It would be a MASSIVE pain in the ass to make a project of that length.

Maybe if some novel rotoscoping tech that can combine with modern 3d programs will make this much easier and faster, but would require some human models for it to work. So pornstar(s) + 3d technician.
Seems to indeed be boredom and fatigue. Since things take so long to animate making a 2 hour quality film would require the 3d dude to be very stable, consistent and focused to be able to continue without breaking and just making much smaller videos.

Even with a beefy setup, the level of quality Nyl puts out will make a 2 hour film take ages to render. Now imagine something fucks up midway, you will have to do it all over again, or notice a mistake after its been done. Its just not worth the time. Doing small videos like hes doing now is much much more profitable.
A novel rotoscoping to 3d would also save a colossal amount of time in facial expressions, kissing and oral sex since anything that involved the head and face takes many more times to animate than other body parts.

Happy 6 months anniversary to The Bordello Lyria it has been half a year allready!
Pre-production started late february and the actual work started in March. We would be lucky if we get it this month. My stimate is august and worst case scenario if he overcomplicated the project like he did with the Lyria one, we would see it in September. So cross you fingers gentlemen and hope for the best.
