This was primarily a fluid experiment with morfium to test out some new features. The goal was to get a splashing, sliding jizz effect on the 'lens' that looped without the need for any compositing. The typical fluid sim pain points continue to be challenging but the splashing and sliding worked out quite well.

That kind of sliding effect is one of the hardest things you can do with fluid simulation since when most real fluids slide they have a certain surface tension and friction, all while potentially leaving behind a tiny residue. The way this stuff works in 3D is that you're creating a mesh out of a particle system, so the former properties are difficult simulation-wise and the residue is difficult to capture with the limited 3D resolution you have to work with. This means that you often have to use all sorts of tricks to get the look you want. But with every advancement things get a little bit easier

I don't think the Overwatch project is going to be released this year (I hope I'm wrong). I'd say it's more than halfway done, but it definitely still has work to do. I feel like this could be their masterpiece.

Im huffing cray ammounts of hopium, but looking back at his other proyects, I have a good feeling it will either release on new years, or by january next year TOPS.
For the latest Bordello, the last set of WIPS Nyl released were 3 months before he released a trailer (december 1st, and then released thw whole thing on the 31st)
For Lyria, the time between the last set of wips and the forst trailer was a little under a month and a half (in this wips he did specify they they were the last). However, the trailer for that was dropped on Jan 4th of 2022, and the whole episode dropped shortly after on the 8th.
By that logic, and the wording on this wips being the FINAL ones before release, a realistic expectation would be for the trailer to be dropped by the end of the month, and seeing a while release by the first two weeks of 2026
(Or let me inhale some more hoppium, a trailer December 25th and full release on new year)

I don't see why he would suddenly stray from his usual. Even past OW animations had voice acting and a "plot", using that term loosely, so I don't see why anyone would be worried.

I actually echo what differentcow said. All "long" videos Nyl's done have had an opening and and ending to their respective stories, while yes, this is more of a "montage" video, i really doubt he'll stop doing some level of storytelling. We might get an intro with some of the OW cast arriving at the club, and as they enter they see that there's some familiar faces and sex ensures. By the end we might see the aftermath of the night, idk im just spitballing

Man I'm just so glad and happy Nyl is doing more taker POV stuff. There really isn't that much out there of this type of animation and to get it from my favorite one, is just amazing. Now we need a proper taker pov pinup, be it either a blowjob or fucking.

Also it seems like Nyl really improved the flexing of the cocks and jiggle physics in general, if you compare it to the old videos. Can't wait to see the full project release. It's looking good so far.

We need to convince him to make a Taker POV video in future!

Extremely unlikely. He was burnt out on it, which is why he put it on hold in the first place, and the last time he mentioned bringing it back was 3 years ago before BG3 released and he became obsessed with projects related to that plus all his OW stuff.

Really looking forward to that Widow/Ashe pairing. There's not enough futa content that doesn't feature bodybuilders or uncanny blow up dolls, not that Nyl really does the latter. It's why I liked the two Widow/Tracer videos so much

Look at it this way, on a brighter light. Whle we lost a pontential peak animation, the experience on working on Gorgon gave Nyl the tools to pretty consitently work on other long form proyects, giving us the Bordello series, and now, Girl's night Out (which I hope becomes a series as well)
