Man it is a bug, it happen then u try to re-enter that room , as for now i didn't think there is any fix.
So if u had saved before re-enter it then use that , if u didn't have that then u have re-start the whole game.

For star two upgrade,if u didn't have a option of promotion in guild, then it is a bug.
After this u will have some quest in the guild.
Here is the patch:
