the solution is not to drink the wine in the basement, ignoring the 2 choices in the bed world, because if you do, and finish the 5 ghosts, you get sent back to the bed area. skipping the wine scene takes you to the normal map properly.
also the game only saves the gallery of the comics as soon as you grab a new one

Loved this game. Work in the next games on the physics of penetration, POV camera angles and in general excellent.
