Greetings, the game was originally conceived as a sandbox, where the player must walk by himself and look for what to do, but after testing by other players, I decided that all key points should be highlighted with an icon (to direct the player visually) on the start screen there is an inscription about headphones, because the emphasis was placed on spatial sound, immersing the player into the atmosphere of the house, so the phone is not highlighted with an interaction icon, if this is critical for many, I will fix this point. In the future, I will make hints such as a quest log so that the player can understand what action is wanted from him.
Regarding the appearance of the characters, the alpha version has a minimum level of detail by default, so everything looks angular due to small polygons, at launch it is written in the main menu that in this version it is strongly recommended to set the graphics level higher, at a high graphics level the picture looks very good.
As for facial animations, I will say that this is a very time-consuming process, since I am new to development, and I do everything alone, unfortunately at the moment I cannot do better. But I will try to do it.
I fully understand the problems with facial animations and I absolutely do not require them to be of an amazing level. Even AAA games often struggle with them.
I was more referring to the face model itself, which looks just average at best, but if this is just an alpha issue, I don't see the problem
(And yes, I also tested the game on high settings, but it burned up my hardware too much)
As for the sounds - I know that a lot of the atmosphere is based on them and most players will be comfortable with that. The problem begins with players who have to play without sound, because we are talking about an H game and, more importantly, people with hearing problems. (of which there are a surprising number)
Well, I'll patiently wait for the next version
