For my last couple of drawings I've been doing a rough construction step at the very start of the drawing. It's helped me identify and fix a lot of problems with proportions and poses (especially with hands when they need to interact with something), but it also takes more time than just jumping into the line art directly. That means I only got some lineart done for my post today, plus a quick greyscale fill.

Another WIP drawing for today. I had hoped to have most of the shading done, but my schedule was a little busy. I settled for getting my colours blocked out and doing the largest bit of shading - the skintone shadows. Next post I'll have it all finished up!

And just like that our elf teacher is all finished up! I experimented with a quick shadow pass as the final drawing step, with the goal of adding in sharp shadows where they are relevant. I'm happy with how it turned out, so I'll probably be doing that more in the future!

I should really spend some time doing studies of hair, hands, and feet... but I also saw a reddit post with a really slutty wedding dress. So I'm probably going to do a slutty wedding next.

I promised and I deliver: A slutty elf bride! I've moved to a sharp edged brush for this; now that my line control has gotten better it feels like it gives me crisper, better looking line art than the variable opacity brush I was using before.

Next up are flats, then shading! I'm really interested in how her veil will turn out; hopefully I can use the same techniques I use for stockings!

I picked out my colours and laid down the flats for our slutty elf bride. Fun fact: the brain perceives slightly blue whites as brighter/"cleaner" than pure white, which is really helpful when you want to colour something like a wedding dress!

And it's done! I experimented with a different way of laying down the shadowed tones for this, using a hard edged brush to lay down the regions then bluring them into the mid tones manually. I considered leaving it with hard edges as well, which gave it a more cartoon-y look, but decided against it in the end.

I've done a lot of full characters with semi-SFW outfits, now I want to dive into something properly lewd for my next bit of practice art. Not sure what that's going to involve, but I'm sure I'll think of something!

I'm not sure why, but this lineart took me way longer to finish up then normal. I was experimenting with a thinner brush; maybe I was spending more time making sure my lineart strokes lined up? Whatever, I got most of the way there in the end! I don't have much practice with short hair styles, so I was aiming for more of a tomboy look this time.

I'm trying out a new haircolour pallet, and the colour I picked ended up being way more bold than I was expecting. I decided to lean into it and go for more of a cartoon-y, hard shadowed style for this drawing. I think it's actually good practice for defining body geometry; I have to make very explicit decisions about where shadows would sit, ho wishy-washy soft brushes!

I had wanted to get a cum layer down at this point too, but I'm still not confident with what that's going to look like and ran out of time. Next update will be cum and highlights (and maybe a different background colour. Probably green to go with her eyes)!

Finished up my latest bit of practice art with some highlights and then some cum practice. I think I prefer a more smoothly shaded style, but I'm happy I experimented with this sharply shaded method too!

Most of my time was spent adding in some cum and experimenting with different styles for it. I'll be doing some more work on it when I get to shading (including adding transparency where it makes sense), but for now this will do. I decided to make it a little more narrative and throw in a caption as well - which immediately reminded me that my handwriting is terrible!

This is mostly a non-update. I had the chance to do some SFW art all day today. That means there's no NSFW practice art update, but it also means I was able to get a very unusual 8+ hours of just drawing! I'll be back to my normal practice/post pattern in a couple of days!

Another practice piece finished! I'm not 100% satisfied with how the cum turned out, but at least I can mark that down as a technique I don't want to use in the future. On the other hand (pun intended) I feel like I can finally draw hands that don't look like they were in an industrial accident :p. This also marks 4 straight months of daily practice, which feels like an accomplishment!

Now I'm going to pivot a little bit and start using my daily drawing time to create new assets for my still in development game A Very Full House. Development took a pause as I changed over from Unity to Ren'py (I realized my initial project scope was probably a little too large and Ren'py matched my requirements a lot better). That means there will be reoccurring characters, lots of outfit design work, and the occasional Live2D animated teaser!

Today I did some brainstorming for character poses for the main character MILF for my in-development game A Very Full House.

I think I'm going to take the top left design and spend a few days working that into a proper Live2D model. I had an existing model, but 4+ months of drawing/colouring practice has done wonders for my art and I think I can do a lot better than I did before!

Whew, running a little late today but I was still able to get in my normal practice! I'm working on a new Live2D model for the main character of my in-development game A Very Full House. I took extra time on this to keep all of my layers nice and neat, and to make sure the obscured body parts are also fully drawn. That should make it easy to rig and animate when I bring it over to Live2D in a couple of days. The facial expression is (obviously) a stand-in; I want to do a full face/expression study before I commit to drawing the actual game assets.

I was planning on doing my normal shading/highlighting routine, but the idea of doing the entire game in pure flat colours is growing on me. I might draw up an outfit and rig her up to see if I still like it. Maybe I'll try just a light splash of colour/blush rather than full shading. Expect to see some experimentation about this going forward!

As promised, I did the shading and highlighting for the main character for A Very Full House. I also put her in a little bikini, which is somehow both more "modest" and way sexier than just being naked.

Next up I'm going to rig up the body so it can have some simple idle movements (and tit bounces, obviously). Then it will be a quick break to do some expression practice, and then I'll add in a bunch of facial variations for her.

I don't have a preview today; I spent my time importing, rigging, and animating our main character MILF in Live2D. I had intended to have a gif ready to show it off, but it ended up being fiddly and didn't fit well into the ~40 minutes I had to practice today. You'll see more of this soon though.

Next up I'm going to do some facial expression studies and try to nail down exactly what style I want for the faces of all my characters!

Today I have some facial practice (not the fun kind; that will come later)! I'm gearing up to draw the expressions for the main character of A Very Full House and I wanted to get some trial runs in first. Faces/Expressions are definitely a weak point of mine right now, so this turned out to be very educational.

I learned some important stuff from this, which should be really helpful when I draw the proper faces. Most usefully this bit of practice has helped me figure out what parts of the face I can break up into different drawn elements. I will likely be breaking it up into eyebrows, eyes, and mouth, plus a couple of blush options for different levels of embarrassed/aroused. I might do some more lip practice soon; mouths and lips are a tricky thing to get right!

I had another chance to do a whole bunch of SFW art, so I'm counting that as my daily practice for a little bit. I have also been brainstorming how I want to handle character movement in the Ren'py version of A Very Full House. I'm considering a Summertime Saga style city map + building/room maps, but I'm not entirely committed to the idea yet.

I'm also going to be away from my computer for the weekend, so It'll be a few days until my next art update. See you then!

And just like that I'm back! Today I have the starting sweater and pants combo for the MILF protagonist of A Very Full House. I've taken a little bit of extra time on this to make sure it's all split up in a way that makes it easy to rig up in Live2D.

Next up are shoes, panties, and a bra! For her underwear I'm aiming to make it a little sexier than it was for the initial Unity demo of A Very Full House while still looking plain. The goal is to emphasis just how impressive her "assets" are and leave plenty of room for sexy improvements throughout the game.
