Oh that's interesting / weird. Yeah I did download from here, and if there was a 'launcher' separate from just directly opening the game itself, I didn't see it; also never noticed any difficulty selector. I don't suppose you know if there's any way to change difficulty outside of that? Or would I just need to find a download of the game with the launcher included?

Considering I am the one who actually coded the launcher, yes I do know how you would go about it, though I am not to keen to just say it outright here, specially not with how hard the whole Mastercard/visa situation, leading to deindexing of adult games on itch, have hit Vhiel tbh, and the game is dirt cheap afterall, in the first place (I am not gonna judge anyone who do download it from here or anything like that, that would be outright hypocritical, but I am also not gonna actively help(at least currently) solve issues that is a direct result of people getting it from here.)

Okay, well the two thoughts I had, both of which I think could be interesting / have potential, though may well skew things towards being too difficult (spoilering just for space purposes, shouldn't be any actual spoilers here):

That is actually one of the changes on hard difficulty, that items actually cost a character's turn to use in combat (and also Morph (the universal cure spell), gets forgotten by the character on use, so you have to spend JP on it again each time to be able to use it again

Not that I remember, no. It's almost exclusively dedicated to transformation and mind control. There's barely any sex even.

It is a status effect, like many others, and as such can be gotten as many times as you wish basically. Unfortunately, unlike full Transformations, pregnancy is not a class change, and is from a gameplay perspective purely negative.

Honestly, im incredibly out of the loop I saw it in their discord and didn't look too much into it. I don't know about what's happening in regards to blackhold but I found it pretty shit anyways so meh.

Basically, Blackhold is on hold, until the whole payment processor thing gets sorted out properly, until then, it is not financially feasible for them, to release a game with the traditional upfront cost. So in the mean time Darkwisp is developed to better suit episodic releases, via Patreon. Vhiel actually hate to have to do a payment model like that, but with that whole payment processor situation, they are basically forced to.

You can't unlock characters without beating bosses. Iirc there's only one exception to this, but that's it.

Ahhh interesting. They're still 2 entirely different projects I assume. Would be cool to have it as a prequel to Blackhold if it fits the narrative. Noted.
